I just started using ultra-low ISO film (no more than ISO 8). I live in a dry, sunny hot climate. In general, I limited my film to 100 ISO since the level of sun light is so high and in the past have overexposed film. I generally shoot with an ISO of about 3 between 1/40 and 1/60 of a second (depending on the limitation of the camera alongside an aperature of 2.8 to 4.0. One last thing I discovered, do not let the film soak too long. My first batch of film was wiped clean by the chemicals.
One work around that you can use (works on the Sekonic 478), is to set the meter to iso 3 and use the filter compensation feature to reduce it by 2 stops, this sets the meter to iso 0.75
This film is mad... excited to get it in my WonderBox today! I think I'm going to follow Paul's advice and find something incredibly detailed to photograph on a tripod... the clarity will be amazing!
I can see why people have more than one camera now, can't imagine finishing the roll in one day. Edit: love the idea of the cartoon strip, would do well in an art gallery
Mad film. Cool t-shirt! 😬
Yes mate - you can buy one here 35mmtees.uk/product/jmdc-passed-small/ 😉
Canon SLR measure iso 6 . +3 will do the light measurement. And if the film is such low grain , the why not use tripod .
Yes a tripod is definitely an option, we just wanted to test it out handheld in the first instance 😊

yey!! looking forward to seeing what you get back!!
Any idea for HC-110?
It's there any info on reciprocity failure correction factor?

Been waiting for your video before trying this! Just need the sun to come back out now!
haha for many reasons 😜
You need to do a goodie bag of unusual film stocks from FPP... perhaps that's my next analogue wonderland order haha a range of FPP films :)
How does it manage to produce a positive image without reversal processing?
the magic of this film's specific chemistry!
Do I need specific chemistry to process this film?
Gossen Profi six meter has a 0.8 ASA setting
my Gossen Luna Pro F that I've been toting around the world for 30+ years goes handsomely down to exactly 0.8 :-)
Wow, impressive! That's unusual to actually be able to meter correctly for such a slow film speed.
I have a Horizon Kompakt which has fixed f8 and 2 second long exposure mode. Do you think this will suit for daylight?
The tiny Reveni light meters will read ISO 1, will it still be a good idea to open 1 stop?
That should be ok :-)
Just loaded in my FM2, set it to 12 and will overexpose 4 stops. How would I develop this with caffenol? A very short stand development process?
Currently taking a 32 minute exposure of my back garden with an nd filter and set the aperture to 16 lol
Cool! :)
Whaat? 0.8??? Insane!!!
😂
@@AnalogueWonderland Finally a reason to buy a f0.95 lens like the Canon dream lens.
