Great video Mike. Love the duck. My father-in-law had a flock of ducks (wild and domestic) long long before I met him. He also had a dog and the ducks followed her around like she was their mother. All he had to do at night was whistle and the dog would come with all the ducks following. The dog would sit by the door of the pen until every last duck was in for the night. Then one day the dog ran out into the road and was hit and killed. The ducks started disappearing one by one until none were left.
Now remember, no more siphoning gas with an antenna. It might get stuck on the anti siphoning device in the filler neck.
P.S. I voted for the original wheels, but these truly look awesome. I can never imagine the final look of something will have until the something new is mounted in place.

Mike, I'd say that anyone that works on cars has had a similar experience. As things went on it seemed to be a bad idea... but if it would have worked and cured the problem then it would have been a good idea. Sometimes you don't know if you don't try. But seriously something with teeth on it, cut in one direction had all the makings of a funny as hell video. I feel your frustration and your success. ✌

At least you got the antenna out of the fuel tank. I had my favorite rechargeable flashlight attached to a coat hanger and it fell off in one of the D-pillars on my minivan. Three years later and it’s still in there…

Nice antennaloscopy Dr. Mikey! I think the patient will survive! Imagine how much a dealership would have charged you to drop the tank/exhaust etc. in order to retrieve that annoying wayward antenna. I would have just snipped it and let it live in its new gasoline home for perpetuity.

As soon as you started to put the antenna into the neck of the tank I was shouting NO, but you didn't hear me. LOL. I had a young man do something similar but he ended up dropping what he had into the tank. We had to drop the tank to get it out. I hope you addressed the venting issues while you had the tank out.
Put a loop in the end of the coat hanger just large enough to slide over the antenna and then advance it down the antenna. Good old Interventional radiology trick. Since you don’t have a sheath. Well, I just saw you did something similar. Kudos!

If there is a fader control in the center console. They are notorious for having problems. The replacement antenna masts for those antennas are cheap.

Thought you were putting in an IUD.
There's an anti-siphon device further down the gas fill tube that let's gas through but stops a siphon house (or Chinese camera cable) from getting down into the tank itself.
hey Mike alot of people didn't hook up the power antenna trigger wire from the new aftermarket radio to the cars factory radio harness
