I need a basic 2 channel plane. Looks like a lot of fun. And I hadn’t realised the fight time was so good given it glides so much. The countryside where you test your RCs looks stunning.
Yeah the flight times are crazy long with these 2 channels because of the gliding and only running half throttle. I had the predator out tonight again and had it flying for well over 20 minutes. And I love the area I live in because it does offer some nice backdrops for my videos.
Nice RC! AF veteran as well. Acquisition/Finance officer, now fixed-wing and drones pilot. The MQ-9 Reaper and Global Hawk were my programs. Fun Facr: MQ-9 Reaper has a V-up tail and the MQ-1 Predator has a V-down tail. The R/C Predator has a V-up tail (opposite of the real Predator). Just an observation for the fans out there. Fantastic, these little differential flyers are getting better and better ! Hopefully they will start to integrate brushless motors vs. coreless and give us something that lasts longer. Keep up the good work, everyone should realize how much goes into UA-cam channel production, espescially a channel that gives us at least 4 vids per month. Thanks RTR !
They really are getting better. It's good cheap fun with these 2 channels. Thank you for understanding what is involved with maintaining a channel. I would love to be able to give more than 4 videos a month but right now it's not financially possible. Hoping this channel continues to grow so I can bring either more content or bigger and better RC's. Thanks for your support!
@@ReadytoRunRC I think your format or production is done very well, the videos of the RC testing you seem to be edited well with good continuity along with the commentary, the giveaway portion at the end of the month is also exciting to the viewer.
They are so cheap to get into and they really aren't that bad. I mean some of the 2 channel stuff is just straight up garbage but so far the ones I had have all been a lot of fun and pretty decent flyers for what they are.
This was a very helpful review. I own this plane and I was confused about the function of the "high & low speed" button on the top right of the Tx, but I think you got it right...this button seems to switch between higher stabilization in the start mode and lower stabilization that gives sharper turns. There does not seem to be any enhancement of total motor speed. My plane seemed to be a bit weak in power for either landing gear or hand toss takeoffs, but very adequate for sustaned flight in calm wind conditions. I would like to try to DIY install an AIO cam/Tx using the internal LED light strip sockets which can also be turned on and off remotely! Not sure if this will leave enough power for takeoff. Have you found other batteries with higher capacity to accomodate an FPV mod of this plane? Also, I have not been able to figure out what the 3 pin belly socket is supposed to do. Is it for factory adjustment of the gyros? Can't get any info on this from my distributor. Please comment, especially if you have contact information on the manufacturer. This thing was so good. Not C-17 good but it wasn't far off from that standard. I had it out again tonight flying with my little nephew and his 2 channel plane. We had such a fun time. Good luck my friend!
This was my first rc plane 3 years ago and it still flying fantastic. I crashed it in many trees and once it spent 3 days in a tree and still was in perfect condition. After a while the tail bent so i made a new one from Styrofoam and it works great!
It does it all by the two motors and how you use the throttle. Want it to go higher? Then give it more throttle. Want it to come down? Then give it less throttle. It turns by making the one motor turn faster than the other. Example..Want to turn right? The left motor spins faster than the right motor, pushing the plane to the right.
I just ordered this plane and I’m curious with the battery, do you let these drain all the way or are they best kept on the charger as often as possible?
Do not let them drain all the way but also don't store them at full charge either. That will ruin the battery. Try and keep them at around 50% when not in use.
