Legendary 😂
@@DavidPerel Always get excited to see new content from the Coach. Hope you have a fun and safe holiday with friends and family. Best wishes from Texas.
Luis Rodriguez 🤣
Luis Rodriguez thank you mate, and to you too!
LOL this right here.
You have just saved me A LOT of time in the sand, appreciate it Dave 👏
I’m in the business of saving time. Speaking of which... beer 🍻
I’ll slide into your DMs shortly!
But who doesn't like a good beach?
Dear Coach Dave.
I lost many seconds on the last straight. Had troubles at the last corner.
Changed the breaking weight to the front. Like you told.
That truly helped me out.
Thank you so much for helping me to improve my lap times.
Best regards
Nice one Djim 👌👌
I achieved the gold medal with your advice.
Corvette C7 1:24,487.
Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to make the lap guide, definitely helped me lower my lap times. the turn b4 c/screw feels so awkward yet so good when you nail it.
Yes that turn is great when you get it right 😁
Driving on this track again made me realized just how much i missed it! Gettin those GT 2 License flashbacks!
Great Vid/Guide as always. Keep up with the good work!
Thanks mate!
I’ve been driving this track for the last two days and you make it look exceptionally easy on the limit. Thanks coach Dave
Practice makes perfect Arno, thanks for your comment mate 🙏
My experience is that despite having raced in this track for all previous GTs... This feels like a real combination of past and modern. I am so used with the track but at same time i feel i am learning lol
Great stuff, I will finally have some good time to play over the Christmas break! Also very much hoping se of your recent om track action I've seen on Instagram makes her to UA-cam
Thank you once again David, going to better my time on circuit experience with this info, love from Cape Town
Cape Town 4lyf
Cool stuff keep up the content
Pretty cool how I can use your laguna guide with assetto Corsa. Love laguna. Good to know that I was mainly correct with my lines and braking points. I always struggled with the last corner now not so much! Thanks coach!!
No problem mate! Hope you’re well 👊
Awesome, thank you for the run through. Hopefully the rFactor devs scan this track at some point. I do like how unique it is - especially as it's set in the desert.
Hello Dave,
Amazing video, as always! Your biggest fan, from Hungary!
Thanks mate, see you in 2020!
Hey dave cheers for the guide it's helped me out a fair bit are you doing any endurance racing next year
Finally it’s back
With Spa just recently and now Laguna Seca, my circuit wish list is complete on GT Sport. I'd love to see some Gran Turismo classics like Trial Mountain and Grand Valley return, but any other circuits added from here are just a bonus for me.
I’d be so excited if they brought back Grand Valley, Apricot Hill and Trial Mountain. But I have a sad feeling it will never happen :(
Thanks, coach!
Pleasure mate
Another good job Dave!
Cheers mate ✌️
@@DavidPerel did you happen to catch SuperGT's ride in the Maclaren at the TopGear track?
I never did like this track...but slowly I am starting to like it. Just that damn corkscrew!!!! But, thanks to this T.G I'm sure to master it. Thanks David.
Where you brake for the corkscrew is super important mate
Edwin Storbeck try to keep the car to the far right on the curbs as it’s less of a bump (unsettles the chassis less during braking). 👍🏻
@@robinoldekamp4856 thanks for info guy.
I live nearby to laguna seca and have to say, the track layout seems very accurate
Definitely my favorite track
Yes, laguna seca is my favorite.
As always, great video. Are you going to be doing a review on the most recent ACC update that dropped yesterday? Looks like they may have taken your feedback and applied it in the newest update. Anyway, I look forward to your next video.
Tomorrow that video goes out 😎
David Perel awesome. I’m looking forward to it.
This will make for some really interesting daily races here!
Hope you find it useful mate!
Next week's daily race C is GR3 on Laguna
This track is awesome fun in the SF19, so I hope they add that to the rotation soon.
What's the best gt3 car?
This is dandy even for iracing vrs this week
hey dave. what do you mean exactly when you say „turning done“. from the apex to the exit i dont straighten my wheel. so i dont get what you mean. wish you nice christmas.
I mean you’ve completed the turning phase of the corner and the car is point relatively straight toward the exit
ok so apex might be late. entry slow so you can step on gas early. like complete your turning in to the corner quite early so turning out of corner the steering is almost straight. thanks coach👍
good vid bro. like.
Thank you 🙏
Love this track!
I really should take a drive up there 1 day and see it for real.
Overtaking is gonna be tough in the daily races!
@spaceweed10 play station 4?
@@todd.goslin6190 no acc is only available on pc
@@jashanjeetsingh5388 well, then I'm stuck with gt sport.
Spot on about track limits David. Should be stricter to separate the men from the boys. ; )
I really want to watch this but I also really enjoy finding time myself....I'll give myself a few days before I watch it
PS only gone around in gr.4 so far; getting mid to low 1:28s with BoP and hards, anyone else set times yet for comparison?
I haven’t seen any comparisons yet but I suspect GR3 will go into the 19’s and GR4 will be in the 25-26’s (guessing)
Hi Dave, 1.21 with or without BOP?
With BOP but I had RM tires
Something is baffling me. So I was in a lobby the other day racing the Super Formula and my best time in practice was a 1:11 The host started the qualifier and my time somehow improved to a 1:09. In the race, my best time was a 1:06.7. Inexplicably, when I ran some practice laps after this my times were back around the 1:10 mark. What causes things like this? And how can I get more consistent?
Good question but I’m not sure of the answer. Maybe the boost button? Or tires? Fuel loads dropping?
@Blitz Jay there were only three of us and we were pretty spaced out. In fact the only pass for the lead unaided by my mistakes was on the last lap when I went around the outside. I'll take a look at the replay soon, but I doubt I'll find the answer I'm looking for.
Now that I think about it, the guy I passed slipped up on the final corner. Without that I most likely don't win.
Your comment on using Gr3 cars for the correct physics? Do other cars outside of Gr.3 not have correct physics?
I think the most accurate cars are the road cars on road tires in GT Sport
@@DavidPerel comfort or sport tyres?
@@DavidPerel drive the 458 or 650s road cars lol very very unrealistic like there 4wd or ever front wheel drive very unrealistic coming off corners over done the weight transfer on the back end
It's interesting you mentioned playing in a private lobby so you had the right physics. Is it different than practice? Because I swear I've done better in practice than racing
Time trial seems a bit grippier. I was driving on hards and had to double check i put the right tires on because they felt so grippy. And yes you’re gonna be faster in time trial over the online lobbies due to these physics
@@diszylam1018 On last week autopolis daily I've missed braking points on a first lap in a few turns after doing a lot of qualifying before and started suspecting having less grip in the race right from the start on completely fresh rubber
Kostya Shnypir yeah i noticed that too. Im setting quicker times by at least five tenths in qualy. Maybe im just faster in qualy tho, who knows🤷♀️
Will your merch be transported to India?
Yes sir!
Also your lap is faster than what anyone has done in quali yet
ioplup because he using RM tyres the daily race is RH tyres
01:15 “Open up a private lobby so we can have the right physics” Is there a difference in physics between offline time trial and online lobbies?
In Aracde Mode > Time Trial the physics are more forgiving
Very much so. In lobbies you choose "real" settings for all settings that can change to real. Makes a big difference especially when you have tire wear involved
🤯 I wasn’t aware of this, although have suspected it at times. Very helpful!
Absolute waffle until 3:00
Would be better if you actually used RH tyres in lobby like the daily race does
In RL GT3 races we cannot mix tire compounds
David Perel
Didn’t mean mix tyres I ment use RH around as that’s what the regs are set too in daily race
Skyline sim racing ah right! Sorry for the misunderstanding.
You said you opened a private lobby to get the right physics, can someone elaborate?
In Arcade mode > Time Trial the physics are a lot more forgiving and the lap times are faster. Particularly in wet conditions. However in an online Lobby the physics are set to “real” by default.
@@DavidPerel interesting, thanks coach!
Not sure if I liked watching this or hated seeing how much slower I am.
GT Sport laser scans the tracks?
Yea they do 👍
Gtsport no good errore problem
why does a private lobby have "the right physics?" downgraded with more people in game?
Well it's actually the other way around. Singleplayer lobbies, at least in the time trial mode, don't have the "right" settings. Online lobbies though have the realistic ones.
@@Maenfy weird. is that the same singleplayer cut down lobbies you can turn VR on in?
Hey man I really don't want to sound like a fanboy but you should try a real SIM like Assetto Corsa, iRacing, ...
I used to play GT since version 1, currently playing Assetto Corsa.
GT feels totally like Arcade now...going back is NOT an option anymore
I play all 3 mate :) GT Sport will always have a place in my timetable, it's underrated as a sim.
Did you just tell a racing driver his favourite game is arcade?
Seeing the crashes, pileups and ridiculous rejoins in iRacing made me believe that it's much worse than GTS. Sure, there are crashes in real life and it makes sense that you would have to dodge a wreckage in an endurance race, but the way they race is just stupid, it doesn't appear as much fun as GTS, it doesn't appear as serious (besides slipstream BS in GT), and after playing GT S and having several dozend clean, competitive races in a row there is no way in hell I would ever switch to iRacing, even something as simple as the price of that game makes me back off. GT is WAY more competitive and fun, and that's what I care about. It surely is more realistic though.
