Are you just now realizing this? Lol WDNTW is an obvious musical follow up to self titled. Maybe at times just a bit less punk-y.

This is awesome as the instrumental allows us to pick up on the little production things that made all the difference. If you are familiar with the studio videos of this album (most of them are here on YT), you can see that they included a Leslie cabinet on the guitar loop for the intro and verses guitar sound. Maybe a little bit of a phaser pedal also on the verses. This album has a lot of experimental techniques and I think it has a lot to do with the Jerry Finn inputs throughout the sessions.
