For anyone who isn't doing his challenge and is new: You could get to the sand island in the farm island and mine sand with a efficiency 2 or better gold shovel till you're mining lvl 12, it's much faster than mining in the deep caverns and skips the many minutes it takes to get to lvl 12
As a dedicated miner here are my responses to your questions. 1. a 325 mithril drill will be extremely helpful later on when grinding mithril powder but won't help you very much right now. pickonimbus is still really good for dm comoms. 2. sorrow armor should probably be your next buy and don't worry about getting any topaz as you won't be mining gems for profit for a while. 3. get a set of mineral armor and a jungle pick, mining sludge juice can make you between 8 and 10m per hour. so it is an easy early mining method. keep in mind you need at least 1500 speed so make sure you have that. 4. there are a couple paths you could take, get into coal and make 20m per hour until you can buy a hype, or spend many hound getting a better setup to make much more money and maybe get hype faster. Keep in mind you can liquidate whatever mining tools you buy so don't worry about spending alot of money on upgrades. 5. good luck.

Mining iron in full mineral armour in royal mines is quite good. I used to do it a lot. It's about 10m per hour with a bad set up and can get up to 60-70m per hour
@profiarrow I've reached that with maxed glossy mineral and a good hotm tree 7-9-4 powder with skymall also being good. This relies on good bazzar price though so I do get that it may not be the same anymore
Tip: get an armadillo once you get to crystal hollows, it will massively speed up commissions and you dont have to use the pickomnibus as much since you can instantly break hard stone without it
Do this First; mithril/titanium picks until hotm 4, use glacite armor and get highest tier gems you can Pickonimbus until you can get gemstone gauntlet, after gauntlet get sorrow and at least flawless gems Use gem gauntlet to get full perfect divan, then get 655 and drill components Edit: I’ve gotten to mining 100 on 3 profiles starting from nothing, trust me
I highly recommend hard stone mining with a snail pet, jungle pickaxe, and mineral armor in the jungle. With a nearly maxed setup, I make upwards of 30m/h just by mining hard stone. Highly recommended for early-mid game, considering how cheap it is to start.
Two ways. Either you can buy it on the auction house for pretty cheap, or if you’re on Ironman you can grind out 200 sludge juice from jungle sludges and trade it to a rare NPC called Odawa who spawns randomly and rarely a village that can generate in the jungle inside of the Crystal Hollows. For more information, you can use Google.
@ the armadillo pet gives 300 mining spread at level 100 while mining hard stone, and the snail pet gives 400 mining spread while mining blocks. In addition, the snail pet gives additional block fortune per 2 speed reduced, which gives you a little extra money. It might be worth it to test both to see which is better, but I’ve been using the snail.
if you forge gemstone chambers you can list them for more than lowest bin (if you arent trying to sell it fast) since most of the times the people buying from auction for chambers are buying it for a full piece or set theyre bound to buy more than just the lbin ones and itll make you a bit more

the 326 is definitely goated. powder early is so necessary, just use the 326 w a leg mitrhil golem once u can. ik u can just ask, but if u get ur titanium insanium to like 3% and u go for decent mining spread from efficient miner, u can actually get a TON of money. titanium sells for so much, from hotm 5-6 i made 40m off mithgril and titanium. imagine when its a skymall 5x titanium proc modcraft u can get hella coins from that inadvertently. Also, if u put dimensional on ur gear once u can, u can get 10 mithril powder for each tita broke (per piece its added on so 40.) that will help in the future, again just inadvertently accumulating powder. In mining v4, getting gemstone powder is super easy, but mithril pwoder.... ur gonna hate it. Also, doing nucleus runs actually might be the wave, on averaghe u make about double profit. but with a tiny bit of luck and because of the addition of new drops like lapidary, it can essentially make enough to carry u for the basic gear. I will say though, if you can i would HIGHLY (and this is a ltitle gatekept idk why), HIGHLY reccomend you get mineral armor, and then mine sludge with a jungle pickaxe. its making people a mnimum of 30m/hr rn with glossy mineral when they avoid chests (you shouldnt), but you will probably make more like 15m/hr seeing as the fortune and mining spread difference is pretty vast. also, if you want something a tiny bit more stimulating, finding a coal route in the crystal hollows, or mjining iron in the dwarven miens right under the bridge of the royal mines can make bank. like, people are making 12m/hr mining with a diamond pickaxe and mineral armor. u should give it a try, and if you have any questions abt anything feel free to, or dm me on dc, my dc ign is parmesxan. i did dozens of hrs of research for my mining progress the last month or so, and theres alot of random niche things that can make decent coins if you look hard enough

Firstly 9:06 I called it Secondly, I didn't realise you were Australian as well. Unfortunately, mining is very ping dependent! I average 250 ping and in turn it general means I can only break 2.5 block per second. This means even if you are 4 ticking a block, you will essentially be capped at mining at 8 ticks. I would probably recommend higher value items that have higher tick thresholds like jasper and peridot!
Xp share pets while mining it makes like 3m more per hour with rare scathas and also buy the scathas when they are like 70m per and sell at 100m per the price changes alot

@ doesn’t really matter. Yog does require 2.5k yog kills to be worth it and by that time you might as well get divan armor.

When you have free slots in the forge instead of selling the raw materials turn them into refined mithril and refined titanium, it makes a lot
