    The SmallRig FreeBlazer Heavy-Duty Carbon Fiber Video Tripod is a budget-friendly kit with a max. of 197cm aimed at video professionals that need a fluid head and sticks that can carry a camera rig up to 10kg.
    The highlight of the DH10 head is the stepless damping panning system. The resistance can be increased or decreased depending on the speed the camera should pan.
    Unusual for a tripod this size is the fact that there is only one lock on each leg to fix the height. The legs are separated into three sections but since there’s only one flap to lock them, they can extend at the same time when pulling the tripod up.

    I can't believe you are the ONLY ONE who put test footage on this tripod review, such an obvious and basic element of a review. Thank you so much, I was frustrated looking for this.

    Clever execution w/ the leg retraction would be dope to see this implemented in other systems

      Satchlers had this system for years, but the legs alone are like 3K. Its nice to see an affordable option that does that same thing.

    Been eyeing a 75mm head for a while now / if the damping is half as good as you say it is it would already be amazing. Might try one out if B&H ever gets on in their store.

    Been waiting for a review of this one - even better to see you're doing it. Do you think this would work well with the Canon EOS C70 and a long lens?

    Minimum height could be smaller... and the GH-06F head from e-image seems much better... but still a good price !

    It's clear they are doing a more budget friendly take on the sachtler tripods with the single lock mechanism. Have you ever used the sachtler and can you give your opinion on whether it's worth the drastic price difference in comparison to the smallrig?

    So you can’t control the friction on the vertical axis?So how then are you supposed to balance the motion according to camera weight?
    You barely mention it. So what weight camera is this tripod configured for then? I wish UA-camrs took a critical stance rather than just being sales channels.

    • @FenchelJanisch2
      @FenchelJanisch2  Рік тому +2

      Yes, you have to balance the camera according to the counter weight of the DH10 head. This is quite common with budget-friendly tripods. Most of our Manfrotto heads use the same technique for tilting. That's why I didn't talk about it more. It's nothing new.
      I know I didn't cover every single aspect in detail but we try to keep our videos between 5-6 minutes. There are plenty of people who make 20-30 minute content.

      Dude you have to know you will nevver get a truly smooth tilt on a budget fluid head. I just put my dji gimbal on a tripod with a power base from small rig to get truly precise pan and tilt.
