Condo dues only go up. I owned a condo in Hawaii and so stressful. My dues were about $650 and two years later they were $900. I don't know who would ever own a condo today with all the horror stories off unexpected fees, insurance and the list goes on and on. I've never been to this location but when I hear condo today, I run.
Well the main reason condo dues go up is usually because of rising insurance costs. If you owned a home you’d have to deal with the same thing. We have seen incidents where the dues actually went down but yes that is rare. However I would think owning a condo in Hawaii would be awesome. Where in Hawaii did you own?
@@obaliving I was on Oahu. I can go on and on about Condo's in Hawaii like the HOA boards are rigged and run by idiots to your property being frozen due to litigation and on and on. Just too stressful. Condo's are more affordable but you pay the price of being owned by the HOA board. Condo's are just not for me, no matter what the state is. Not to mention new laws about short and long-term rentals. I was living in mine and sold due to all the state laws to include PANDEMIC and people living for FREE.
