regarding the “how important do you have to be before a murder is considered an assassination” question: it depends, but the rule is that an assassination is a murder for political reasons, so you generally have to be a political figure at the very least. This also means that you can be very important but still only be “murdered” if you, say, died in a random drive-by or something.
Its not about how important you are its about if the guy whos trying to kill you or killed you admitted its an assassination(paid or not meaning someone wants you dead) or he just straight up hate you and just wants to kill you(murder)
the origin of assasin comes from hashashin, arabs in the abbasids which killed political enemies (so yes this comment is correct)
I love the contrast between Schlatt doing viewer presentations and Joko doing them, because schlatts viewers are all deranged and cant hide that, Jokos viewers are also deranged but just have it under better control

the guy giving the presentation about tornadoes made me so happy. do people really think tornadoes can't form in valleys? i live in a tornado dense area that is valley surrounded by rivers. there's been storms that have produced over a dozen tornadoes in one night. in the summer you can catch the storm chaser cars decked out in gadgets.
please dont ask why i still live here, i've always lived here. when the first siren goes off we usually go out on the porch to see if anything is happening. when the siren goes off again that's when we go to shelter (or if there is a ton of debris flying around lmao). the time i see my neighbors most is when it storms, everyone goes out on their porches to watch for hail and debris. it's a prairie tradition.
It is a thing sadly (am presenter). It's less common of a belief now, but I still felt as if it needed some kind of mention.
your presentation was amazing and I really appreciated it as someone that lives in the middle of tornado alley. my town has suffered it's own tornado outbreaks but we were lucky that only 3 people died even with massive destruction. they know for sure that 7 tornadoes were documented but it is suspected there were at least a dozen in the chaos. I'm happy your presentation brought light to how random and destructive tornadoes can be, really no matter where you live. more people should be prepared for them.
Love how joko is letting people doing the normal presentations speak and actually listen to what they have to say instead of just ignoring it

here to add that James spann is the meteorologist that trained Ginger Z of gma, and he’s still a tv meteorologist doing the same level of on air coverage during tornado season, and he has a bit of a running joke going with long time viewers knowing that shit has hit the fan when he removes his sportcoat to reveal his trademark suspenders. The more you know.
As an Alabama resident I can attest that James Spann has the respect of everyone. He is our king.

I’m so happy I got to share my love of dinosaurs with everyone! I made that entire presentation in one day, so I’m really glad I was able to share it with Joko and the chat 😂 (especially since I probably should’ve been working on homework)
