Well... not quite, because I think the Switch already runs Linux. :P I'm pretty sure Nintendo's Switch (and previously 3DS) official firmware is based on Linux. PS4/PS5 firmware is based on FreeBSD. And Xbox is based on...who would've guessed... Windows and Direct *ahem* X...
@@kavishgour3267 Many people prefer the BSD license because of this, you can keep the code for you, this way you make it hard for people to modify all you have done and distribute it for free ruining your job...

My boss got a pong machine he hooked up to one of the TVs. I actually got paid $2.75 an hour to play pong with him. He was so bad I had a challenge to make it look like he could win.
So a Nintendo console gets a desktop OS which allows you to install wine, which would make it a PC, therefore Nintendo has finally made a PC. It all comes full circle.

Yep. So is the playstation os and macos(some of the code) is based on freebsd. Code is not mandatory to distribute under the BSD license.
