I'm so excited to have found a Christian teacher on youtube! I am going into my first year of teaching next year, and I've been thinking and praying about how to carry my faith into my classroom. I love your videos!!!

This helps a lot!! I am currently in a field placement with a semester left of actual college classes since I student-teach in the spring of next year. But thank you for how open you are with your anxiety and what freaks you out at times. I have definitely felt the anxiety of getting to do the same thing every day with no end to it. Teachers have exciting yet challenging careers, so I know we'll all push through :) You're doing great!!!

Same here about working and knowing that you have to work until you are laid off. And then only getting 2weeks off out of the whole year, which you use upon medical appointments or over events that and not getting a real break away. I feel that every day at work, and I've been cooking at a hospital for over ten years.
I am currently changing my career to become a mathematics teacher. In time, that feeling will be released, and once again, I can find myself and not act like a drain robot just working on getting the job done.

I'm with you about the whole teaching being a "forever" career. I love it, and it was my childhood dream to become a teacher. But, just like you, I want to become a mom eventually and stay at home with my kids if possible. However, I don't see myself doing anything else outside of teaching until that time comes.

no such thing as 'just' a mom! If being a mom is part of God's plan for your life, that is the most important 'job' you will ever have! no matter what we do in life, there is no such thing as 'just' ...each one of us is important and each job is important.... like a puzzle you need all parts to complete it :-)

I’m interested in what part of Texas you work…. I’m also a teacher in Texas. It’s interesting to compare how different places/districts run their schools. I will say, this was year 15 for me and was absolutely the hardest year. I cannot imagine being a first year teacher in the 21-22 school year. I will be moving to middle school next year and am so excited! I’d love to see your planning process.

Hi! Do you teach in a public or private school? It is interesting to know that you get somehow more positive than most of the other videos in youtube. Most of them though are teaching in public schools.

@@abbeyy.wilsonn how is the experience so far? I will be teaching in a public school next year, middle school math too, and I am particularly interested to know how students behave nowadays. I have heard several stories how the generation has changed but can you share like a little comparison of your experiences in public and private school, if possible. Thank you.
