The new single called Mirror Mirror is already out along with the album release, also they announced a World Tour including Asia, Australia and US Festival like Blue Ridge, Louder Than Life and Aftershock, so hopefully you'll get the chance to see them live, is gonna be a fantastic year for BM fans.

When I heard of this performance, I knew that it was going to be great. But BABYMETAL already had a firm, unrivaled spot in my heart, and I couldn't imagine my respect for them (and especially Su) increasing even further. Yet this took it to a whole new level. And I think this will turn out to be an important point in their career, as finally there is no denying that she is a world class professional singer. I am very grateful to the TFT channel for this unexpected gift!

This version is Su showing us aspects of her vocal range that we don't normally get to see with Babymetal's usual style. Most of the time she is powerful, but here she is subtle and displays a lot of vocal technicality.

I saw Babymetal last Sunday in Yokohama. They announced a world tour. The bigger news was that MomoMetal is now an official 3rd member. She was initially on rotation to fill in, but now she’s a permanent member!!!

It's really atmospheric which I like. Divine Attack brought the hype and Monochrome brought beautiful vibes. The next single will bring the heavy vibes I hope.
Well, this song certainly shows that the few second snippets don't really spoil or give away the songs at all. The chorus with the is catchy, but the drum riffs are the jam for me upon first couple of listens. Since the snippets don't reveal the songs, I'm wondering if the five songs that will be released aren't gonna reveal the final album as a concept album, once released and listened to in full and in sequence, as most concept albums are meant to be listened to. Being that this album is conceptual, and should probably be listened to as a whole and in order, this could be a fun slow-burn reveal to. As of now only two original Babymetal are in the current status, Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal, Main Vocalist) & Moa Kikuchi (Moametal, Backing Vocals). The third member of Babymetal will be announced soon.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Su and Moa proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to headbang with their heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. Which version do I prefer? Probably the live version first then this one and then the album track.
Su commented that she was surprised about the interpretations we, the fans did about the song. And to be fair it was mostly based on the visuals of the lyric video and the rhetoric resources they used on creating the metaphors in the lyrics. I've said many times that the song is a huge allegory and that implies multiple metaphors and layers of significance, but not only the bombing theme. The important message is the hope in the end despite all the catastrophic events.

Babymetal needs to put out an unplugged album...Even in this simple environment, Su is still the perfect performer, with her expression and gestures... Akatsuki Unfinished is still my tear jerker from Su, but this is running a close second in terms of emotional performances....sorry No Rain No Rainbow from Legend S XX... I've seen some of the other First Takes, and I think Su just set a whole new bar thats gonna be hard to surpass 🥲🥲🥲🤘🦊🤘

Nice reaction. Babymetal giving us EMOTIONAL DAMAGE. I never wanted an unplugged album more than now. Way Back when Su and Moa and Yui were part of Sakura Gakuin. One of the things they learned was do the best you can always. Su and Moa delivered that for us extras added. They gave us a minor miracle by standing still while performing for a whole song. I bet the two of them couldn't wait to be able to move again. Su started to near the end, but she did stay in place. I noticed Su kept looking up. Then I realized she's facing Moa. And we know how Moa likes her shenanigans. One smirk from Moa and Su might have lost it. If you noticed Moa didn't flash those dimples of hers. Moa has the power to crack anyone up. So proud of them. Babymetal taking their own songs out of the box of Kawaii metal. Their surprises will never cease to amaze us.

We definitely have some planned. Just had some crazy work schedules lately so we haven’t had enough time to release as much content as we want. We are working on it though and we have them on the schedule🤘🦖

A little clarification for the the girls in white robes. Like most I don’t think they are back up singers. I’m pretty sure that they are them rumored third member momoko. People originally thought that the white robes were a reference to the white robes they wore during the IDZ shows but those are actually the exact same robes the 10 apostles wore at their last concerts in January. They wore them when they sang The Legend which is the song they used to tease Momoko becoming the new third member at their 2 concerts on April 1st and 2nd. If it is them in the robes Moa is the one in the center su is the one on the left (yes she is actually that short and when she stands directly next to Moa on stage she is barely taller than her) the one on the right would be momoko ( yes Momoko towers over them she is around 5’3 or 5’4 while Moa is 5 and su is 5’1).
The trio in white cannot include Su- or Moa since this is a one-take.
They are most likely the mirror unit that was on-stage at the Makuhari shows. I am unconvinced either way on whether they were singing.
BTW, Su- is taller than that.

I was watching the wowow stream of babymetal returns and during road of resistance su and Moa stand right next to each other when su gives Moa the mic and they were virtually the same height. Su’s height is regularly accepted online as 5’1 and moas is at 5

Su- did not have the same interpretation of the song as the fans took from the lyric video.
The three in white are ostensibly the backup singers harmonizing with Moa on the oh-oh-oh lines. Can't be Su- or Moa since they are already on camera and this is a one-take. I am not convinced they are actually singing, even at the end where we no longer hear Moa with a clean vocal. That is, the harmonies could be harmonizer channels off Moa's clean. My guess is the harmony voices are on the backing track and the trio are a mime chorus (like Babybones were a mime band early on).
I think Soare is right in saying "stripped down." But this is not raw. There is quite a bit of reverb on Su-. And to my ear, the recording engineer kept pushing the slider up, especially at the end.
A reminder that The First Take is a Sony promotional channel. And their only rule is just the first one-take. Nothing is in the rules against plug-ins or effects. And I heard things that would preclude its use here, autotune is just another plug-in.
So, if we are clear-eyed about the production, then we can just sit back and enjoy what is an incredibly good performance.
