It literally says he forgives whoever he wills. So, no, it's not a contradiction. Allah favored the children of Israel for a time. They didn't die on shirk, they repented and Allah accepted it. What's so hard about understanding that. You guys bounce around the bible to put things "into context" but blame the Muslim for doing the same. Lol. Sincere, genuine repentance is the key. Cmon, guys.
