  • I share my commentary and reaction to Jubilee's latest "Middle Ground" Episode where I was honored to defend LGBTQIA+ Christians against those who claim that they had been healed and delivered from their queer sexuality.
    NOTE: I am new to recording these reactions, so there is a little bit of an issue with the last ten minutes. Please forgive the recording delay!

    Well at least Brandon managed to get something right. God does not want any wine to perish but because he is just he cannot let sin go unpunished and if people reject Jesus sacrifice and his teachings they will have to pay for their sin themselves. So no God does not desire any to perish but he will because he is just. Happy Brandon got at least something right.

    Jeremiah 9
    New International Version
    Oh, that my head were a spring of water
    and my eyes a fountain of tears!
    I would weep day and night
    for the slain of my people.
    2 Oh, that I had in the desert
    a lodging place for travelers,
    so that I might leave my people
    and go away from them;
    for they are all adulterers,
    a crowd of unfaithful people.
    3 “They make ready their tongue
    like a bow, to shoot lies;
    it is not by truth
    that they triumph[b] in the land.
    They go from one sin to another;
    they do not acknowledge me,”
    declares the Lord.
    4 “Beware of your friends;
    do not trust anyone in your clan.
    For every one of them is a deceiver,[c]
    and every friend a slanderer.
    5 Friend deceives friend,
    and no one speaks the truth.
    They have taught their tongues to lie;
    they weary themselves with sinning.
    6 You[d] live in the midst of deception;
    in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,”
    declares the Lord.

    You left the part out of the story of the prodigal son where the son HUMBLED himself to his father in Luke 15:21 - “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
    and also humbleness and repentance in his spiritual heart : Luke 15:18
    "I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants. So he got up and went to his father."
    That was the most important part. [KEYWORD: MEEK AND HUMBLE]
    Why would you omit that in your example Brother Brandan?

    Yeah God does not want anyone to perish and it does not bring him joy. Perish means eternal separation from God. But if you don’t repent and accept Jesus sacrifice and put your faith in trust in him and not yourself to pay for your sins then you will as your sins will still be on you. Jesus did die for our sins but it is a free gift from God that you have to accept there are people who don’t want to be with God and God is not going to force them into eternity with him if they don’t want it.

    I know "adam" is translated as "humanity" but I haven't thought about it to the extent that you have. I will have to investigate that interpretation further. My bible studies have been quite cut off from beginning semantics. I've just been running off of "Adam and Eve were persons in the beginning who 'knew each other' and gave birth to the nations', but they and all they do is corrupt by sin, so scrap any reliance on the history of this world and just prepare for the end, but know that this whole creation itself is corrupt by sin and will be scrapped, and by the time the real, sinless creation comes, you won't be wondering, in fact there will be no 'recollection' of anything 'before' that age.

    Lies! Deceiving people. People always try to change the Bible because they don’t like the truth. God hates sin, not people.

    Brandon one thing is very clear to me and that is if Jesus exists he would welcome you with open arms. . .but those who preach hatred towards LGBTQI+ people by constantly demonising them he would shun.

      I don't think people should hate others but what the ex-gays are saying and preaching isn't hateful. The most kindest and loving thing someone could do is tell someone when they're wrong and what they're doing is wrong. Brandon is preaching falsely.

      @@aciid090 First homosexuality is not a sin. Second these preachers aren't preaching to a particular homosexual but are broadcasting their lies to the world. That like a Nazi preaching to the German people in the 1930s that Jews are sub-human had consequences. It's doubtfull one of those spreading those lies about Jews actually personally murdered one, but they are equally responsible for having helped advance the lies in demonising them.
      So it is with every innocent homosexual killed in the world today - those preachers are as guilty as if they had commited the murder themselves. Violent thugs only hear 'Gays are sinners' 'Gays are evil' 'Gays burn in hell' and thats more than enough to encourage their violence. As I wrote in my comment Jesus would shun those who are in ANY way connected to such violence. And pleading ignorance in this day and age would be no excuse.

    Religion is a load of nonsense. The God of the old testament is the same God of the new testament. Religion makes people feel bad for who they are. I do like your attitude Rev Brandan though, but you are cherry picking the good bits out of the Bible though. I use to be a Catholic but have been an Atheist of many years now.

      Point of the Bible is to make you feel bad about the sin you commit and give hope through Christ. If someone commits murder I would hope that the person would feel bad about it.

    • @Djr67
      @Djr67 5 місяців тому

      @@lightninja4795 the Bible says things are sin that are just a part of being human. God tells people to kill in the bible so don't think your God considers murder to be a sin especially if it tells you to kill.
