Excellent American craftsmanship. Much more interesting than watching "Woodsmith" on PBS where every episode is them making a book shelf or vegetable tray hahahaha. Only thing you need to do is add a pad under that felt.
Good job! I'm looking to make one for myself, I have a new year party at my house and this poker table would be amazing to have. Thank you for the video.

such a joy to watch, u fast, clear, on point, professional, and great woodworker, nice edits too, all in all very good video!!
Beautiful!!! Awesome table. I have a large octagon poker table I picked up at Goodwill. It does not have felt on top. I have a round piece of felt on it but want something nicer. I was thinking of fastening felt to 1/4" luan cut in a circle...or would you suggest octagon? Tips on fastening felt to luan? So it is tight.
I like your table even though I'm not a big fan of the octagon tables. Very nice woodworking and craftsmanship. Just wondering if you have had anything spilled on it
Nice work buddy. Quick question! Do you have any recommendations on how to stop the metal cup holders from being able to easily slide out of the hole you cut. I was thinking of using rubber bans to make it fit tighter in the slot. Just incase a pop can or beer bottle sticks to the metal at times and when someone pulls their drink out it doesn't pull the holder with it
Easier to pick up the cards and chips without stabbing fingernails into the felt to get a grip, this only happens when the out lip is higher and you cant just slide the chips and cards off. Makes sense to me.
Do your plans include how to build this with out the octagon shaped table? I'd like to make this table top and attach it to an older small round table.. its 48 inches not sure if its small enough to nestle this on top?
Really nice job on the carpentry and videography. I wish it had been longer and that you had included some commentary - but otherwise... keep-up the good work.
just curious, how wide did this table end up being from side to side? Might be using this as my template for my upcoming build but want to know the dimensions first
@@workinontheprairie7944 if you flip it upside down what is the width of the inner frame? I'm trying to figure out what size round table could fit under this. I love this table it doesn't look cheap like most other diy poker tables (with the foam edges vs the wood)
If you plan to make this table, don’t use his instructions; at least not regarding the the 1x8. Followed the measurements on his plan and the measurements were WAY off. Now I have to spend another $60 on 1x8 and do it myself.

That is excellent! I will try to make one myself. Thank you for posting this
Very nice! Turned out beautiful. Would love to try it.
Thanks for posting this video. This is the exact project I'll be doing this fall.
love it. love the most that the felt table is RAISED rather than sunken.

Nice project.
Amazing that was an amazing job
Looks great. Well done. From Cyprus
Thank youvery much!
Great video!! What is the length of each of the 8 sides? Do you have enough room to fit 8 without feeling cramped?
Fine work! Damn fine work!
Thank you!!
excellent work!
Thank you sir!
Very Cool
I have the same table saw. It came with one of the best guards I’ve ever used. Can’t nderstand why people don’t use them.
That is really nice. I wish I had the skills, tools and time. I don't, but would pay the $$ for that.

Sensacional seu trabalho

Has the URL changed? The link to the plans appears to be broken so I’m unable to see them sadly. Thank you!
Nice work mate. I'd buy that for my poker room.
Very very nice
Muy bonita que te quedo...felicidades!!!
Muchos Gracias!

Very nice conversion. I personally think 8 is a little crowded for a home game, 6 players is plenty for me, but you made it look great!
Can the birch be stained? I'm wanting to make a table like this but I don't need the center insert for the felt.
I wonder what the final size the table is.
What angle did you cut those 1x3s under the table top?
Beautiful table but I wonder why you decided to make the insert raised? Poker tables are known for having a lowered center.

I show in the video that its easy to slide chips off to yourself... just my preference... thnx!
@@workinontheprairie7944 oh I see! Makes sense
Suggest you add a layer of 1/4” padding under the felt.
Thank you for your suggestion
Did you steel wool between each stain coat or only after the last coat?
Any plans available?
Any reason not going with 1/4 inch underlay under the felt?
Do your plans include how to build this with out the octagon shaped table? I'd like to make this table top and attach it to an older small round table.. its 48 inches not sure if its small enough to nestle this on top?
Yes... I made a stand out of four pieces of 3/4" Birch plywood... looks nice.
Really nice job on the carpentry and videography. I wish it had been longer and that you had included some commentary - but otherwise... keep-up the good work.
all in no bluffin nice poker table
hey is there a list of materials you used?
just curious, how wide did this table end up being from side to side? Might be using this as my template for my upcoming build but want to know the dimensions first
Sorry for dealy... just saw your message...
My table wound up being 55" across... thanks for your inquiry.
@@workinontheprairie7944 does it comfortably seat 8 people?
What is the width of the outside edge? Were you happy with it? It looks great man what a great job. I'm going to copy.
Very happy... outside width ended up being just shy of 56"

Ugh! Its 46 inches! Need to find another table!
That looks amazing, can I have it, hehe 😅
So you made a poker table bigger...neat.
Finally, an octagonal table that doesn't think the typical 48" diameter of a plywood board is enough space for 8 people.
What do you call that green thing you put?
Felt
Can we get dimensions? I would love to build one this size
Plans will be uploaded soon.
Nombre de la tela?
Beautiful table but kind of funny at the end to be in a garage with folding chairs around it lol.
It's in my game room now... that was right after I finished it.
Woodworking Hands good! I’m a poker player and that is SWEET
How much?
What tint did you use?
I used a walnut stain Minwax I believe
This guy crafts
Instructions on how to build? Willing to pay
👍
Nooooooo! Dice chips!
5:53 I was told there would be rusty clamps...
" shut up and deal " ^^

I'm pretty sure you can still buy plans with all the details you need on Woodprix.
