Saw this band back in 1981 at Kuusrock outdoor festival in Oulu, Finland. I was with my friend Jussi, who just died for heartattack few weeks ago... Remember that The Blues Band was unknown to us but we went nuts, so great and rockin´rhytym and blues it was. Well now Jussi is gone and i have these memories alone...
I saw them in 1982 in Greece. They played two nights in a row. I went to the first and the next I saw it on national television live. Unbelievable. I suppose they put me on the right path.
I was there. My 1st concert ever. Wasn't even 18. Joan Armatrading, Ian Hunter and Top Act ZZ Top. Didn't even know who they were. Now I'm a Blues-Man, too. These good old days will not return. (Tom Patty)
I saw them at the Crown Casino in Perth Australia. I shouted for them to play Maggie's Farm; they looked at each other uncomfortably, and Paul said it didn't go down well in Germany; it seems this German audience enjoyed it. When I worked on the construction sites in Britain it was consider the favourite anti Maggie song.
Thanks for the upload. I saw them twice and learned to play harp (not v. well) playing along to their records. They are playing the last gig of their farewell tour tomorrow.
Check out their first three albums, at least ! You'll know why we held them in very high esteem, way back in the 60s. Their album East West, certainly blew me away ! There is a very good "double" in the studio, from the Elektra years.
Bluesman Mudcat, I didn't see that anyone else did it. The line up is Paul Jones-harp, Tom McGuinness-lead guitar (both of the original Manfred Mann), Dave Kelly-slide guitar, Hughie Flint-drums (John Mayall's Bluesbreakers) and Gary Fletcher on bass. The current drummer is Rob Townsend of Family.

Saw them live in Glasgow 1981(?). One of the best concerts I've ever attended... and I've been to many concerts! Thank you for the upload.
Saw them Alive in Luxembourg in the 80's. The show was as good as this one
TX for sharing!! Loved These Shows on TV - saw The Blues Band once in my live! GREAT memories!!!
Gary, they are still just as goo!
I last saw them in December 2013 and going strong. ;-)
Tom McGuinness is downright wicked on here !! Incredible interplay with Dave Kelly on Trouble No More, too.
Thanks, never heard of this band until now, excellent !

That is the Butterfield Blues Band! Not this band,
Top Rank Ballroom Birmingham, Birmingham Odeon x2 and last time at Robin R&B Club, on the ‘These Kind Of Blues’ album.

Exceptional band, tight.
I think every song in this show should be your favourite one. The first is as good as the last, and there is not one song between that´s not fine!
