No one in America will discourage a lady he wants to marry in Ghana to stop going to nursing school. Nursing is the only program in Ghana which is transferable to America. Meaning with Nursing certification in Ghana, all you need to do is take the state board exam when you come to America and boom you are a registered nurse and start making over $100,000 a year.

There are people who did complete nursing education in Ghana but after their State board with exams in the US and were employed in the US, could not perform as expected. In any western country, your nursing education in Ghana is below standard besides, nurses in Ghana are not exposed to most of the equipment and procedures used in western hospitals .
