For me , this is the best setup. I've been watching your videos (all amazing btw).. this is the best combination of power, control and flight time. I'm building a flyfly 90mm Hawk at the moment, but my next build I'd like an Odyssey. I'd build just like this. Keep up the awesome videos :)
I really like how slow this jet can fly now, so it is also suitable for small landing strips 👌 I really would like to see a video where you explain your detailed modifications to achieve this low weight! What also interests me: the Samsung 40T cells are rated for max. 40A, if you have two parallel, thats 80A. But how do the batteries deal with those high currents like 130A at take-off? How do you cool them and do you use a temperature sensor?
This cells easly handle peaks up to 80 Amp from a single cell. The cooling of the cells is through the airflow from the front wheel to the edf. Next video is on 10,5 takeoff weight and 40km/h slow fly by's :)
Hello. I am making a plane on edf JP120mm. In the channel of the aircraft, the thrust drops by half. From 9 kg to 4.5 kg. This is fine? Or did I do something wrong?
The intake holes diameter or nozzle diameter is to small. Also the way for the passing air must not be obstructed. Also the JP120 is not really good in suction situations. Meaning it is a poor compressor. Very good compresors are WeMoTec and Jetfan edf's. It means that they loose very little efficiency in obstructed airflow conditions.

It will fly great with plenti of power and speed. Go for HET 700-83-1080 motor, You will love it on 12s and if you get bored you can kick it up to 14s :)
I tried 16S with JETFAN-120 PRO HET 800-73-590kv inside Odyssey. Result : engine burned and ESC 150 A destroyed too. Jetfan says 14 S max for these turbine. It works with 14 S.
information, about edfs. it is very simple to correctly design for Optimal air flow in an edf system. and, that correct design is Almost Never Done.! an edf is NOT an engine and its air flow Requirements are GREATER than a similarly sized ENGINE. the design of an edf-powered airframe SHOULD Accommodate the Needs of the edf being used.!!! Great job Wojtek , its always a pleasure to watch this , .. ;-)
Thanks Ronny
Sweet vid, thanks for posting!
incredible! We are waiting for the video on how to make the edf sound so real!
Lokk at the older videos, I explain it in detail.
Excellent build, modifications and piloting skills!. What power system would you try in the HSD super Viper jet?.
I would go for WeMoTec 100mm with HET motor 700-83-1080kv on 12s or 14s
Fantastic sound , simply fantastic 👍👋

Your landings sound a bit hard to me 😯 Nice video!
WoW 😈
Wow 🤩 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🍀🍀🍀🍀
Hello, I would like to know if these kingmax servos are really good, can I trust them?
Please show your new battery, simply open the hull and film the contents. PS: Pretty external camera and a fantastic microphone.
look into the video description

@@miketango244 Mike, look in the description of the video with light batteries. It is all there.
Thanks for the camera and mic complements. I will make some shots to show the plane inside... hope in next video
Amazing flaps sound
You top of the tree, no doubt. Can I ask how much that set up would cost? (all in /everything together)
WHAT EDF DO YOU SUGGEST FOR A 48" RC HYDROPLANE? JEFF, USA
Question I fly the crap out of a stock Freewing Avanti S. I want to get Odyseey. Would you run a stock Odyeesy.
Hi
One question: i ordert a skymaster f18f in 1/8. Do you think that the f18 will fly with 2 wemotec 100mm edf on 12s each?
Best regards

I was waiting for the sonic boom on speed run!!
holy shit!

Bummer! Was that on liion or lipo? And did you set the ESC timing to low?
li-ion cells have a much higher voltage drop so 16s is comparbale to 13-14s lipo

On full flaps the angle of the plane is greater and some of the weight of the plane is suported by the thrust of the edf.
