GPUs are insanely hard to get at the moment due to bitcoin miners buying gpus in bulk and selling them for bitcoin. This happened in 2018 as well and its sad because a lot of casual gamers are trying to build a pc but the graphics cards are so expensive and unavailable :( It should go back to normal price within a couple months hopefully.
really? Mine wasn't that hard to get but now I wished I got a 3600 cuz its the same price right now. The 3100 is still a good cpu and I'm happy with it.
@@zaiba8373 Let’s hope man, i’ve been desperately looking for around 3 months now and it still hasn’t changed maybe even got worse. But august is in 3 1/2 months so it should settle down.
I probably got recommended this because "Genshin Impact" was in the title. Great first time build! Here's some general tips and answers. Smart choice getting a B550 since you planned to upgrade in the future. Most motherboard now only has one ram retention clip that can pull back. Did you install the standoff before putting the mootherboard in the case? For installing the power supply before the mobo or the other way around, it mainly depends on the case, but there's typically no specific order for most cases. Some more powerful GPU requires more power, so more pins are required. Best regards in Genshin!

Great video!!! Honestly, I don't think you would need a new CPU fan even if you are trying to overclock. Another UA-camr(Craft Computing) overclocked their 3600 with a much beefier air cooler and the difference wasn't much unless you care about noise. I believe both CPUs come with the same cooler. I would think the 3600 would be much hotter than the 3100 because of the difference in cores.

You did really well for your first time! Here I am building mine for the first time and hands are sweaty. Also, I seen your recent video, grats on getting xiao 50/50 :)
Your build turned out really nice. Nice choice of the B550 chipset for future upgrades. The combination of your processor and graphics card is perfect as well. If there is an imbalance of performance between your cpu and graphics card, you can run into bottlenecks which will drastically affect your gaming performance. If you plan to upgrade your cpu in the future, I wouldn't go any higher than a Ryzen 5 unless you upgrade the graphics card to something more powerful as well. However, I don't really think you need anything more than what you have now for what you are doing. A lot of PC builds I see on here have people spending crazy amounts of money for parts they will never fully utilize. My only suggestion would be to add some fans to the front of the case to pull in fresh air. It will help your system to run cooler which will make performance better and more consistent.
Awesome vid....a month ago I built my first pc and had trouble with the wiring....mainly front panel.....but I managed to get help from some cool people on discord and got my rig running!
A trick when you don't have a magnetic screwdriver is to take a magnet (the stronger the better) and to rub it on the screwdriver in order to magnetize it. If this doesn't make it strong enough though, simply leaving the magnet stuck to the screwdriver will do the trick.
They give you two 8 pin connectors because stronger gpus require more wattage and may have to use more pins. Another reason is SLI, running two gpus but no one really does that anymore
Great video I totally know the feeling of building your first pc. It can be frustrating at some parts but overall it is satisfying and you really appreciate your pc more!

Little advice: AMD Ryzen cpus really love high frequency ram, so check out 3200mhz ram sticks if you don't already have them. Advice number 2: don't buy an hard drive, buy a sata ssd instead. 1tb is more than enough, and it will be a lot faster. The stock cooler is more than enough for the 3100, especially if you don't overclock. B550 are great motherboards, but for a 3100 are a little bit overkill. A B450 would have been more than enough, but if you plan to upgrade the CPU (personal advice: Ryzen 5 3600. It's pretty good) it will be spot on. But hey, pretty good build, congrats on your new pc!
Sometimes ignorance is bliss. You not being a professional builder made this video an extraordinarily simple and easy to follow guideline for amateur builders who want to build their first pc.
I'm pretty sure someone already told you that, but there are multiple GPU Power Cables because higher end Cards need more, for example the RTX 3080 needs 2x 8 Pins and i think the RTX 3090 can sometimes need 2x 8 Pins 1x 6 Pin but the Older Cards (RTX 2070S etc) need 2x 8 pins aswell.
I literally built my first PC too and I felt the same exact anxiety she felt for each of the parts she was installing in doubting every single thing I did.
Don't know if anyone answered your question in the comments, but the one cable with two 8-pins is because some graphics cards require an 8 pin and a 6 pin some require two 8-pins. They also have people who put other cards into their systems that need the power. Great build btw!
Not sure why people are thinking I overpaid or got scammed on the GPU but I did not overpay! There's no way I would pay $400+for the 1650S-I got it for $190 USD at the time. Aside from that, good luck for those trying to find a GPU right now and thanks for watching and leaving lovely comments ! :)

So many people say genshin impact is trash!! But it’s the most underrated game i’ve ever played!✨
I never saw in my life any one saying genshin is trash and it's clearly not underrated lmfao
What.... Underrated no😭😭 There's like a whole ass large community what are you saying jdhsjsnj
@@lorexcee their official discord is literally the biggest one worldwide LMAO
its definitely not underrated at all
UNDERRATED???????
It will help your system to run cooler which will make performance better and more consistent.
this is much better than the verge pc build xd
Awesome vid....a month ago I built my first pc and had trouble with the wiring....mainly front panel.....but I managed to get help from some cool people on discord and got my rig running!
A trick when you don't have a magnetic screwdriver is to take a magnet (the stronger the better) and to rub it on the screwdriver in order to magnetize it. If this doesn't make it strong enough though, simply leaving the magnet stuck to the screwdriver will do the trick.
the video was so relaxing. loved it. looking forward to more content. :)
And hopefully get to build mine someday soon.
They give you two 8 pin connectors because stronger gpus require more wattage and may have to use more pins. Another reason is SLI, running two gpus but no one really does that anymore
your cable management is better than mine! Great
15:24 That additional 8 pin is for higher tier graphics cards, which needs 16 pins
Me : watching in my 15 years setup
Great video I totally know the feeling of building your first pc. It can be frustrating at some parts but overall it is satisfying and you really appreciate your pc more!
Hi, this popped in my recommendation, and I'm just saying make sure to download the drivers for your PC like Nvidia etc. Cause their important for new built PC's to make the faster
Already did of course! I just didn't show it in the video- thanks for the reminder though : )
Nothing beats watching a newbie to pc building actualy build one by the books. You did your research and you execute the build well. Good job!
We just not gonna talk about how soothing her voice is?
🤨 that sounds weird
I agree, it's definitely asmr
pc builds from small youtubers are my favorite pc build videos
Good job 😊👍👍👍
you're smile is so sweet :3
I'll go back to this next year I'm still saving up 😭😭
Same 😭😭
Same :’)
i wish you luck
you did pretty well for your first build, good job!
UA-cam keeps forcing this video on me lol so let me just watch it.
lmaoo
Very clean build, great job for a first build and someone who says she doesn't know how to build pc's!! You also have the monitor I've been saving up for and you have a REALLY nice keyboard!! Love the setup, so clean and aesthetic! Only thing missing is a nice gaming mouse ;)
that keyboard tho 🔥🔥🔥
Great work, the HDMI Audio cable at 10:40 caught me off gaurd xDD(it's HD audio, it's okay everyone makes mistakes)
i'm getting jealouussss like literally i'm getting my own pc tomorrow just praying the pc parts are available :D so i can hurry up and play with my friends. been in pain with 30 fps all along TwT~~
edited : i got my first pc already! 🥺 i’m really happy i can play anything so smooth now 😭 i bought i9 10900F and my gpu gtx 1650 super, idk whether it’s fine.. but holy i can play without worries! :3
Link to it? Ive been looking for a good pc for a month now, their either too expensive or have bad reveiws
It's good but the cpu is a little bit overkill in comparison with the gpu. Overall good choice! 😄
Im waiting for my rtx 3070 ti but i'm playing roblox atm with only my i9 10850k... My gpu is gonna come like in may or something... Bcs like the miners are buying the shit out of that stuff 😭
It's very unbalanced, Remember to upgrade the gpu in the future!

Great video and congrats for the PC Yen! I am on my way to build my first PC too because of the same reason: GENSHIN lol 😂 Hope you enjoy using the PC and keep creating!
The verge would like to know your location.
Really glad I found this channel hope you continue posting content and congrats on the PC!
You not being a professional builder made this video an extraordinarily simple and easy to follow guideline for amateur builders who want to build their first pc.
yeah I'm struggling trying to find the gpu rn lmao
I'm pretty sure someone already told you that, but there are multiple GPU Power Cables because higher end Cards need more, for example the RTX 3080 needs 2x 8 Pins and i think the RTX 3090 can sometimes need 2x 8 Pins 1x 6 Pin but the Older Cards (RTX 2070S etc) need 2x 8 pins aswell.
I literally built my first PC too and I felt the same exact anxiety she felt for each of the parts she was installing in doubting every single thing I did.
bro when u popped into the screen, i thought you were amber (sister of ur mom ashley) for a sec
ikr me too
nice pfp
@@blexbottt5119 thanks lol
ur soul is so pure, u give me such positive vibes.
Why is this on my recommended 😂
Don't know if anyone answered your question in the comments, but the one cable with two 8-pins is because some graphics cards require an 8 pin and a 6 pin some require two 8-pins. They also have people who put other cards into their systems that need the power. Great build btw!
Awesome! Might be late but Good job and congrats on building your first pc, always nice to see people build their first pc its an amazing feeling :D
