Dear Mr Datio, I would like to have a question. I have heard lots of US-UK music as I find it easier for me to learn English with lyrics. I reckon that the phrases 'I was sat' or 'I was stood' are so common used in the British accent and some of my British friends said that they consider it as British dialect. For instances, the song 'Gilly' of Matthew P has a sentence 'cause i was sit right down on broken roses'; or 'we were sat upon our best friends roof' in How would you feel of Ed Sheeran. On a first glance they seem grammatically incorrect, but it sounds so 'British' and attractive. But I wonder if we can still apply these kinds of phrases in Speaking test because technically it's wrong in grammar use. Hope to have your response regarding this confusion! Wish you an effective working week ahead.

Anh ơi, em có thể dùng "I've never been one who loves coffee" không anh? Nếu không em nói "I've never been one to drink coffee as one of my favorites" thì anh thấy nó có tự nhiên không?

Thật sự em muốn học lại tiếng anh , vì em cảm nhận sau mười mấy năm học tiếng anh tại trường em lại không thể nào giao tiếp được . Khi em nói e phải nghĩ từ tiếng việt rồi sau đó mới suy nghĩ xem tiếng anh nói làm sao . Đôi khi còn bị bí từ nữa . Huhuhu
Cố lên em, học từ ngữ pháp cơ bản đi lên từ từ sẽ ổn thôi nha!
