The Colecovision doesn't get enough love.
It was my first system, and even after we got the NES and Genesis there were still some games I kept going back to when we couldn't rent something new... Venture, Subroc, Donkey Kong jr, and Space Fury.
And if I stayed home from school for a sick day, it was always Carnival. Comfort gaming.
Cool video, John. It was nice to see all those Coleco games. Some, I had never heard of before. Thanks for the video.
Wow, thank you so much for sharing all of your treasures. I didn't have colecovision growing up, but I did have the Atari 2600 and many of the games you showed. In particular I used to really love the quality of the parker brothers packages, they were always a higher quality box. Actually before I made the mistake and gave my system to my brother I had several of the parker brother boxes. 007 was a good time. I no longer own any 2600 carts, I've only been buying nes/snes/ and genesis. You've inspired me, perhaps I'll go hunting for some of the original 2600 carts and boxes.
Loved seeing all of them. Used to have a few, and most of the others on 5200 or C-64. Great vid
Nice to see Coleco getting some love.
Some of those are SUPER CLEAN!! Good Haul..thanks for sharing!
Goodwill picks out all the really good stuff and puts it up on their website now so it's never in the stores. I kind of feel bad about that because it's a broke kid goodwills and other thrift stores were how I got a lot of stuff back in the day for a price I could actually afford. Poor kids these days literally don't have that opportunity because that stuff goes on eBay or goodwills website for whatever the maximum market value is
It’s been that way for years.
Gratz! Fun video, thanks for sharing.
I went through three Colecovisions before I finally gave up on it. The game library was fantastic, but the consoles were not built to last. I still have all my carts and boy do I miss playing them.
I don't know anything about collecovision but I still enjoy watching all the games I've never heard of before! Thank you for sharing!
Fantastic stuff!!! Love seeing Coleco.
Waiting for some play sessions on those games.
Nice haul. I remember every one of those except Robinhood. I've got most of those too but no boxes. Looking back on it makes me wonder why I threw away game boxes? Many of mine I picked up in the late 80's - early 90's from Goodwill second hand so I never had the boxes for those.
Xonox boxed games are tough for Atari and even harder for Coleco!
The biggest problem wit the Shop Goodwill website is that they only deliver UPS and they add a handling charge to everything. I found some good deals on things only to pass over them because the shipping+handling doubles the cost. They sometimes show a 1 cent shipping special on certain items and I especially look out for those.
I remember playing Sewer Sam on Intellivision at my grandparents house back in the day, really tough game but at the time mind-blowing graphics.
Great stuff! Love these kinds of videos on this channel, especially for old consoles. However, I never keep shrink on game boxes, even when it's opened so that you can reach the game. Seen too many Atari boxes getting dented by shrinking foil, so I just remove it completely. But that's just me. Anyway, enjoyed the video and could see how much you enjoyed this stuff as well. Good times!
When I used to collect I only bought boxed lots, I would keep the stuff I wanted and sell the other stuff. It was the best way to keep things exciting and get things for cheap.
could never finish Looping back in the day, great music
Straight up ghost to your left @13:30.
As a follower of many car related channels as well and gaming.... the RockAuto box in the thumbnail totally made me do a double take.... almost had you for one of them.. "Today John replaces a brake booster.." w.. who... what...
That burgertime ❤🎉
I never heard of game Looping before.
Nice roundup there. 😎 Hope you didn't pay too much.
You have Ladybug for 2600??!! R-A-R-E
Considering Colecovision wasn't out for long & wasn't super successful, it always surprises me how many games came out for it.
The library is not really that big
Question so where did you get Colecovision games from ????

COST OF THE LOT?
$400
@@johnhancockretro nice. Sorry, didn't mean to yell.
I'll never support any of GWs online stuff, F THAT! It's all donations that they didn't pay a penny for. Put it in your stores for a fair price and call it a day! If I want to resell something on Ebay it shouldn't be any of their business. I'm cleaning, testing, and listing the items. Then Im paying Ebay and shipping fees. I honestly only buy things from the local store I know I could profit off of now! I use to pick up stuff for myself all the time before the prices got ridiculous! I'm in with the volunteers at a local thrift for gaming stuff so GW is usually just a quick trip after work hoping they missed something.
