  • Procol Harum playing live in Paris at Music Hall de France on 24/09/1967.
(There's a brief skip in an early verse; maybe French TV couldn't accept a 5-minute song.)
Probably one of the first gigs with Robin Trower and BJ Wilson; they didn't perform in the UK with Procol Harum until the following year.

interesting version, slightly rushed start, organ way too quiet (gets a bit better later on), guitar a little out of tune, sound musician needs shooting, but still good to see an actual live version for once

This is only 3+ months after their debut gig! (4th June, supporting Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Saville Theatre.) So I think it's fair to say they weren't very rehearsed at that stage, or certainly not on touring auto-pilot. Possibly their earliest live footage?

In fact Robin Trower and BJ Wilson only joined the band in mid-July and there were no subsequent 1967 UK gigs - so it's likely this is one of this line-up's earliest gigs.

Sounds like recording is from the mixing desk and not every instrument is properly miked for sure back then. But thats what is great, to hear this so raw and fresh
