(but then again Damon doesn't need a girl to feel happy - I heard he ends up with Bonnie in the books and honestly im intrigued with that idea) 4) The friendship bond between Elena and Damon would have grown platonically until the very end. I liked Delena when the show was running but re-watching the show, I lovvvvveeeee Stelena. I think they ruined the show honestly, delena shouldve been a phase and she should’ve ended up with Stefan. Damon did so many awful things in the beginning to her and to the people she cares about , and when you think about it, it’s hard to excuse those things. I strongly know that although stefen was doing his best to protect her ,he sucked at it , and considering season 2 and 3 events , she only stayed alive bcz of Damon's protecting them both .
she only stayed alive because of john gilbert's death in s2 stefan didnt suck at protecting elena he gave himself over to klaus to protect both damon and elena he only started not protecting elena when he was on the revenge scheme and didnt even care if klaus killed damon..my only issue with stefan is saving matt over elena maybe he thought elena was still awake so he could save them both but it was a stupid decison...except that he gave his everything to protect elena they both did

@@chmaroua7475 tbh he didnt have a choice it was damon's life he had no choice but to agree with klaus and damon really comes up with very good plans but many times he acts reckless which ruins things even more
@@sharmisthachakraborty287 there's always a choice but Stefen just like to obey to threats and throwing himself under the bus cuz he constantly feels the solution is to be away , he disappointed Elena by that , then gave up on bringing back Damon , then let Caroline down two times , with the huntress and with hell , it's just his nature , he's been suicidal all along I guess we just didn't see it through .
Every choice he made was based on leaving someone behind , idk how you see it but I'd punch him in the face if I was one of those characters , leaving was never a solution it was just an escape .
And Elena all along stayed alive bcz of Damon contribution in the storyline .
If it was just her and Steven they would've been both dead in season 2 😂

what choice did he have when klaus asked him to obey him?the other choice was to let damon die if you are ok with damon dying then fine...what choice did he have about rayna cruz?damon was being suicidal stefan just worked on instincts and got marked he went away from caroline to protect her and the kids and even asked caroline to join him it was caroline's choice to stay with the kids while it was stefan's to protect them...stefan didnt give up on damon while i do agree stefan was acting like a jerk in s6 he didnt give up on damon he travelled 20 countries every lead was a dead end so he tried to start over life doesnt stop with people dying you have to try to move one which stefan was doing though he was failing miserably without damon...anyways we can agree to disagree
