I have the CTM MIDI, the blower function seams to be so over looked. I use it to clean my tools at the end of a job when I’m working outside. No point having all the dust filtered wile I’m working only for it to end up in my van once I’ve packed my tools away. Nice presentation 👍🏻😊

Hi, I'm about to invest in a festool extractor to go with my festool tools. There are so many to choose from as I would like something compact and must be 110v.
I noticed that you mentioned the one you have can blow air as well as suck. That sounds like a great feature.
Does that function work well for you and would you recommend this extractor?
I mostly cut and sand mdf but plywood and hard/soft woods also. Cheers

@@danthechippie4439 yes the CTM MIDI would work perfectly for you. It comes with Bluetooth built in as standard so you only need to buy the Bluetooth remote to strap to the pipe. If you use any of the blue tooth batteries they connect to the extractor via Bluetooth. Also the blower feature is great, especially blowing away dust from tools or even helps with a cleanup if you can get the nozzle into tight spaces. The extractor is pretty compact and if you bought the hoover attachments, that works well for clean up too. I’m really happy with mine and would buy again.

    Hi Gordon
I own many festool products and recently I purchased a 110v festool extractor as all my tools are 110v.
I was advised that my transformer was to small to handle the extractor and a tool at the same time and I wondered what size 110v transformer does festool recommend?
    5K perhaps?
    Thank you

can midi be used on light drywall sand? we painters deal with different dust and sanding, paint chips and customer's dirt. we're sanding steps, window sills, wall patches. we have the ac 36 but is it necessary to use that 36 ac for a few crack patches at the job or the midi can handle that amount of drywall patches? I'm jus confused because when we use on wood sanders the dust is finer than the drywall dust because we use finer sandpaper on wood, and the bags can handle the wood dust, but not the drywall dust.

Well the ac cleans the filter periodically. Never used the my mini with drywall sand. I guess the bag will clog quite easily.

Should I be concerned about 110v in the UK?

230v tools are compatible with domestic plug sockets, while 110v tools are mainly for site use. Typically you would require a transformer to use a 110V tools. I hope this helps!
