This thing can transcribe a conversation I’m having with my two year old daughter from the onboard mic, with decent accuracy! If you’ve ever had a convo with a toddler, you know you might sometimes “need” a translator, so I was pretty impressed!
I love the design and concept of the TP-7 but I've already seen a lot of issues with the durability of the wheel, rocker switch, play/pause/record buttons, and on/off volume knob. IMO for a "field recorder" reliability and durability need to be a core feature, and it seems like the TP-7 falls very short in that category. Still looks like a great little "mobile studio" recorder, but I can't say I'm not a bit disappointed to see all of the issues. In contrast, the TX-6 has had significantly fewer issues overall and appears to be more durable. The multitrack wav recording functionality looks great, and I love the UX and overall design of the device, but for $1500 they need to resolve the hardware reliability issues before I would actively recommend this to anyone...
Still not clear how many channels this can record, 3 stereo or 3 mono ? The manual implies 3 stereo i.e 6 channels but often reviews just refer to three. Would be nice to get definitive info on this. If i connect via usb what sort of interface would my computer see? 6in/ 3in, 3 out./ 6 out? Might have to by one to find out
I'm not positive, but my take is that it can do or be as you wish. It's that advanced and flexible. As many as 6 mono outputs. As much as I like the spinning disc, it looks prone to damage, dirt, etc.

It's 3 stereo, which you can split into 2 mono each. Meaning you can do 6 mono with some splitters
