I think I wasn't as sold on Licorice Pizza initially as some of his other works but now that I have had a few months to sit on it I can totally see the appeal. Phantom Thread is one of the best films of this century, and it is one that I can only see getting better with time. It's up there as Anderson's best for me, with There Will Be Blood being a strong contender for second. Excellent work. To me, the introduction of There Will Be Blood, much like intro of Close Encounters. Both have a seemingly obvious musical prompt that feels like a deliberate reference to 2001. Subjectively.

Also, any document of the oil industry has very much earned the title. the amount of inventors who presented an invention which would be a potential challenge/disruptive technology to the industry, and the economy governed by it, were killed. Many.
