- Dosage calculations by weight made easy for nursing students, nurses, and paramedics. Weight based dosage calculations problems require you take calculate a drug dosage based on how much a patient weighs. This video demonstrates solving drugs calculations with dimensional analysis. Calculating medication dosages are a requirement for nursing school and the NCLEX exam, therefore, be sure to practice many dosage and calculation problems. I work in a hospital and never thought that I would ever need this because pharmacy is usually the ones doing all the work until one day I called the MD about a patients HR being elevated. The MD gave me a cardiac med to be administered IV and he gave an order with mg/kg. My mind went blank and I promised that I would never allow myself to be in this situation again. I am so happy that I came across your channel.
This is going to be a life saver for me. Starting nursing school this fall and I’m thinking DOSAGE & CALCULATION may be my weak spot until I ran across your videos. Starting early with the studying/review so I don’t look so lost in class. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH

Watching as a paramedic student. Thanks for the videos; your explanations are spot on. As an engineer, I like seeing the actual conversions/units etc., definitely helps to understand the math. (No knock on my instructor, but he just tossed a formula on the board without much explanation).
I'm not trying to be dramatic, but I'm deployed and pushing through this online pharmacy tech program. I came to a SCREECHING halt because this math was giving me so many issues, along with the conversions....this and another video saved me! Thank you, and I'm sure these tears are from stress and birth control lol

Im taking an online class for pharmacy technician and while its not too hard to follow along, I have a hard time learning calculations. Seeing this helps me memorize how to do it
