Was thinking of doing the same - glad you have done the hard yards and found the troubles first! I'm going to put a little metal strip under my box, I think.
Hi Ed! Great toolbox upgrade! That was one of the first mods I did to my tractor. In fact, I have two and keep them full of useful stuff. You’ll get a great return on your $6 investment. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Ed. I did the same thing to mine. Same box it is nice but not weather tite. Snow will eventually get in and melt. My tractor sits in my garage as well. I had no luck with it. Good luck with yours. Cheers.
Funny Boombox Take Your tool box seems like a more seamless solution than what I did for mine Good video and solution for that crappy Kubota Tool box. They do sell a aftermarket Kubota Toolbox now but $$$$$$
OK, first of all...you're really speaking my language with the music during the "toolbox strut"! Second, you totally got me with the sound effect at the end...I thought that Kubota box landed on something glass and fragile. (Must be Italian 😉🙄) I'd like to upgrade my toolbox but because I'm so tall I have the seat as far back as it will go. I can't even open the oem box unless I move the seat forward or tilt the backrest forward. I think a taller box would only exacerbate the issue. I have some thoughts....we shall see...🤔. Great as always Ed...looking forward to Monday. 👍😎
I wouldn't say I "miss" the dico era, but my musical tastes are pretty varied and let's just say that Earth, Wind & Fire is well represented in my Spotify. 👍😎
I’ve seen a couple JD SCUTs with the toolbox on the side of the ROPs and not behind it. I’m wondering if a couple new holes would hurt and move it to the side. I’m so short I can’t see over mine😆. Can you please turn the radio to Supertramp, Lynyrd Skynyrd or New Riders of the Purple Sage?😂
I liked the Kubota Diddy Bopp...I however, am not that talented. Two left feet and all. (-: But HEY !! I have not one but TWO narrow ammo boxes mounted to the side of the ROPS on the B3030. Of course I cannot take credit for that. The previous owner did the honor. Fun video ED, and beneficial too !!
TYM didn’t even bother to put a toolbox on my tractor. It has a cab so I got tools pins chains scattered throughout the cab. Stuff fall’s out when you open the door. So yeah a toolbox would be nice.
I’ve always wondered who the marketing geniuses think they’re fooling with the whole .99 thing. Today I found out! Hope that $6.99 + tax…er…$6 toolbox works out for ya! 😂 Keep up the great work! 👍
Good thinking on adding the washers! There’s one thing in common with tools boxes and garages, the rye never big enough….what was the hydraulic tool thing?
I did this with an ammo box. I had a small plastic ammo box that isn't heavy. I also put in a false bottom and put all my wiring for my ROP lights in it and attached the light button to the box so I wouldn't have to drill any holes in my tractor. Seems to work pretty good. I would like to find a small basket to attach to the ROP for gloves and things. I like the Artillian basket, but it isn't in the budget yet. Any ideas?
Hello Eddie, I am wondering if you could put rubber cement on the top hole and place a sticker or duct tape over it and then water would not get in. 🤔just thinking. It is a good video and how much was it?
Keep the eye protection in the cab of the tractor. That pressure release tool is un-needed. $50 Bucks you didn't need to spend. Just push the ball in the coupler up against a clean surface for compressing the ball. Save the money. Well, to late for you, but your readers may see this.
Thank you, Raul. As I demonstrated in video #61, I had a hard time pushing poppet valve - even hammering it. There are surely other ways, but I think the tool is a great little invention. Thank for watching and I appreciate the feedback. -Ed

You could still use at least one of the original holes, and add those self tappers. And fill the bottom of that hole with a little silicon.
Thanks Cliff! I was actually thinking the same thing!

I put that exact tool box on my B2601 a few weeks ago. Huge upgrade over the factory installed box. Keep up the great content.
Awesome! Thank you!

Well I figure it’s a temporary solution. Maybe more temporary than I thought!!!
We used a metal ammo box for ours, so it was waterproof. Keeps tools from rusting in the humidity.
The beat box clip had me and Jamie laughing out load. Oh and great video Ed!!!
Thank you both! My creativity can't compete with MJA, but I try! :)
Had me chuckling too.
Nice inexpensive solution!
Indeed! Thanks Doug. Hope you're doing well!
Thx Ed.
Always have more stuff than place to put it.
Too bad they didn't make the ROPS out of a one piece magnet 😁

Good video and solution for that crappy Kubota Tool box.
They do sell a aftermarket Kubota Toolbox now but $$$$$$
💥 Nice simple solution, too bad the top has a hole in it. What were they thinking! 😳
*Keep on tractoring!* 👍
If that thing sat in the sun for three months, you'd be replacing it again. Good thing you built that portable garage first.
I had a similar issue with water leaking into our mailbox thru the nameplate bolts on top of the box. I used a dab of silicon, problem solved.
Gee, you should put a sticker on the old toolbox and auction it off on Monday or give it to Jon Ritter.
Haha, Gary. Funny! Thanks for watching.
Did the same thing with a plastic tackle box
Good day Sir 👍😉 Great music tool box walking Sir 🤣👌🎵 You a stunt camera man sir 👌😉 Have a great week Sir 😉👍 Cheers 🍻

Thanks Chris. My seat is all the way back, but the LX must be different. Do you miss the disco era? :)

@@elained9591, drilling any holes in the ROPS is really frowned upon but you can used u-bolts or brackets. I’m right there with you on Skynyrd!
I'm good with Skynyrd...👍😎

@@MyClutteredGarage I sure will. Things still a bit hectic, but soon.

Could use Bar stock instead of washers... either way a good mod.
Thanks. I was actually thinking of that!
Really like your channel. Keep up the good work!
Thanks very much, BTJ!

I think I see a little welding job coming to make that bar stiffer 🤔. Can’t go wrong for $6 bucks 👍🏻
I was considering that! 😄

So true, Elaine. Check out video #61 for a full demonstration of the Waite hydraulic decompression tool. Super handy.
@@MyClutteredGarage thanks so much! I have difficulties at times with the JD but not the Norwood…different connectors.

Very smart!
Safety glasses huh? lol Seriously, they should be used, not just sliding around in a box. You only have 2 eyes. Good video, thank you!

Thank you, Margaret. Did I forget to mention that I got it for six dollars :)
Good ideal, yea the little "tool box" is that, LITTLE...thanks
Thanks for watching, Gary. Minor upgrade but will be in improvement.
Nice little toolbox. How much did you pay for it?? 😂😂
Good thing you didn't have to return the toolbox to Harbor Freight, they probably would've charged you a $2 restocking fee.
Dance dance dance! Ken b2601

As an aside It was Your video on your grapple that got me to run out and buy a grapple.
JUNK TOOL BOX
It's an upgrade. Perhaps a minor one... Thanks for watching, Kasey.
