Astro Bot is probably TOO new to make the cut on this video but man that game is pretty, vibrant, colorful, crazy graphics. Definitely one of the few games out that really pushes what the PS5 is capable of.
The environment and city objectively looks good. Lots of people who reviewed the game (and then said the actual gameplay sucks) have praised the graphics.
I always thought that "The Quarry" had some really amazing graphics (for the type of game it is) and the character models in the game are (at least to my eye) extremely photo realistic...
I want Stellar Blade on PC so bad. When I see gameplay, especially combat, it reminds me of games like Bayonetta, Nier: Automata, and Darksiders III, and I loved all of those.

Plot twist - this list could be used again in future and just called - 10 games with least interactive environments. (Also, on a serious note, could you do a list of games with most interactive environments, e.g. destructive, emergent gameplay etc).

The funny thing is, the graphics of Black Myth Wukong are actually only just above average; look closely at the textures its not that impressive. Its the lighting and shadows that elevate them.
Highly detailed graphics are nice, but they don't make a game good. I want devs to put a priority on gameplay first. Smooth frame rates and fun gameplay are more important to me than how high res the textures are. Pretty graphics are a bonus. But it's clear that some put graphics ahead of gameplay, and those games rarely are successful.

Shout out to Horizon: Forbidden West, specifically the PC version which released this year. The devs doubled down on the unique look and feel of Zero Dawn, higher graphical fidelity, crisper textures and way better lighting. I like the "dilapidated, post apocalyptic ruins and tribal lands but also high tech sci fi machines".

Sticking to the graphics: Facial animations are trash. Many of the textures look like they're from the the PS3 era. Some of the vistas do genuinely look good, though. Overall, the art direction is doing the heavy lifting here. It's not pushing any technical boundaries. And before someone starts blabbing about how it must be a console thing, I have eyes, too lol. I've played other PS5 games at that price point (Alan Wake 2, Horizon Forbidden West, GoW Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, etc.) that look really impressive. Outlaws looks mostly fine (except for facial animations). Sometimes it looks pretty good. Sometimes it looks dated. It's not the worst looking game, and yet the graphics are far, far from insane.
It's amazing when the two come together. Also if it has an amazing story. With those three things together that is what makes a game 10/10.. RDR2 for example.
Just recently got back into Cyberpunk and I am loving it. I played it for tons of hours on release and 3 years later I am enjoying it like a brand new game. Star Wars Outlaws and Hellblade 2 are both awesome games as well!
Night city is so amazing. Like they crushed the design of it, all the little areas of town that are unique. I could literally never take a car and just walk around it looks so good.

Sticking to the graphics: Facial animations are trash. Many of the textures look like they're from the the PS3 era. Some of the vistas do genuinely look good, though. Overall, the art direction is doing the heavy lifting here. It's not pushing any technical boundaries. And before someone starts blabbing about how it must be a console thing, I have eyes, too lol. I've played other PS5 games at that price point (Alan Wake 2, Horizon Forbidden West, GoW Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, etc.) that look really impressive. Outlaws looks mostly fine (except for facial animations). Sometimes it looks pretty good. Sometimes it looks dated. It's not the worst looking game, and yet the graphics are far, far from insane.

It's amazing when the two come together. Also if it has an amazing story. With those three things together that is what makes a game 10/10.. RDR2 for example.

Just recently got back into Cyberpunk and I am loving it. I played it for tons of hours on release and 3 years later I am enjoying it like a brand new game.
Star Wars Outlaws and Hellblade 2 are both awesome games as well!
Night city is so amazing. Like they crushed the design of it, all the little areas of town that are unique. I could literally never take a car and just walk around it looks so good.

I don't know, graphics aren't the wow factor they used to be. At least for me. I see a "realistic" looking game and just can't help but think it was so they can hide behind it when the gameplay or story sucks. Black Myth being the exception. A very rare exception.

I am glad someone put the spotlight on Hellblade 2, the fights are the closest you can get to actual cinematic realism and the action is intense. Its really weird seeing other people making hierarchy of the best graphic in games and they do not include this title.
