- Newcastle United fans David Wilson and Ryan Gregson, who are deaf, were able to "feel" the noise at St James' Park during their most recent fixture.
The pair wore shirts which converted the noise around the stadium to vibrations.
Mr Wilson told Sky News, "I felt like I was fully included for the first time."

Really disappointing that it got zero coverage from MOTD on their main show, completely glossed over it, meanwhile Sky and TNT clearly were happy to give it the spotlight it deserved.
Exactly what I thought when watching motd. Garth Crooks didn’t mention it during his little article either. He did write 3 paragraphs on Newcastle players on his totw and it was all about Spurs though, so no surprise I suppose.
MOTD response : what ?
It won't be important till the "top six" invent it 🙄
MOTD production staff comprehensively blinded by tear filled eyes over their beloved Spurs getting a hammering. That is ALL they wanted to concentrate on; been that way for 30+ years......they really should try to be more impartial
My wife has partial deafness and has been really impressed and excited by the whole initiative and when Newcastle beat Spurs 4-0, we both thought "wow, this will do the whole thing wonders, this will be sure to be the main game on MOTD and it will give it a load of exposure" and what did they go with as the lead game? City predictably pummelling the 18th placed team in the league, rather than Newcastle causing an upset with 11 key players missing, thumping a near full strength team pushing for Champions League qualification, all with a cause raising awareness of how football as a whole could be making people with hearing impairments feel more included in the match day experience.
Considering the BBC is supposed to be run as a public service what an utter let down it was, to the point I felt embarrassed that I had got my wife's hopes up that this would get good coverage on the show.
"Away goal at the back, it was quite quiet back there" 😂😂
Classic
@JordiBoy_ 100% mate, they're all like that these days, proper robots.
Brilliant from Newcastle, the world needs more of this, lots of people who are less fortunate are forgotten.
Amazing club 🖤🤍🖤🤍
This is beautiful!!
Props to Sky News covering this - BBC were completely vacant via Match of the Day.
They were too busy covering political messaging I imagine!
Im so happy to be a newcastle fan with the opportunities for all even the deaf
Seeing Dan Burn signing was a beautiful moment
Really proud of my club for this and I'm sure every club will take part in this now taking the game in a positive direction, what a great experience for the deaf community with Newcastle leading the way forward for all the fans, 👏👏👏
Every human had the right to enjoy the game .Happy for them .
I'm so impressed with how the lads and their mum can interpret each other so quickly
Proud of my club 😊
Me too man ⬛⬜
It’s a nice feeling . HWTL
Well done Sela, proud of NUFC. 👍👍👍
This is brilliant to see its getting recognition
What a change from the Ashley era, we have not now got a club all united and I can't wait to see what the future brings 🏆😂❤
This is why when theres fans doubting Eddie Howe or what certain players are playin like were all still a United team
I heard about the special shirts and sensors around the ground. Was great to see it all in action and making a huge difference to people..topped off by a superb performance...Perfect!
Match of the day should have covered this but they are blinded by anything positive from Newcastle. Newcastle didnt play well it was all about how bad Tottenham played. This story shows how world class newcastles sponsors are and how they want to improve the game for every one.
Lineker was too busy wrapped up in himself
Lush this. ❤
Fantastic to see, well done to Newcastle and those who developed this!
Stories like this really do keep me going in an otherwise depressing and crazy world
It was very quiet round the back on saturdee 😂
Brilliant nufc.
Didnt know about RNID before the game. Excellent work from Sela and NUFC!
❤❤❤
🖤🤍🖤🤍👏🏻
Brilliant this like.
Well done Sky News, shame MOTD couldn't show any interest what so ever
Well aye!!⬛⬜
Just like scoring on FIFA with your vibrating controller 😂
if this were city, man u or liverpool we'd of heard about it on the pitch, not nearly a week later
David, Ryan and Amanda did brilliantly in this interview. As the lyricist for The Exiles, a songwriting team that covers the history of Newcastle United, I am sharing this song-video about the RNID story and the fans wearing the sensory shirts. We wrote and recorded the song within 5 days of the final whistle. ua-cam.com/video/dxjlHMJPjMQ/v-deo.html
Shame on the BBC, for not having the decency to even mention it !! TNT 👏, who covered it live !!
Inclusion is a bad thing, right commentors?
Do they make pants? 😏
Hwtl!
Well done NUFC & Sela. MOTD was a disgrace - no coverage of the RNID haptic shirts or the deaf fans attending. BBC in the mud.
Pardon?
Liniker should be ashamed to not mention it... then again only talks when its some political crap
Well done to the club and sela for this 🖤🤍
Amazing idea Magpies 🖤🤍 respect from Denmark
