I believe batteries that are top mounted are the best design for ebikes. When you take into account that your always outdoors in the element . Thank you for your content.🤙🇨🇦
Adding a few features to my discover 1 bought mid 2023. Mine has 5 levels assist and a walking mode to assist up hills and stairs. live up a steep 6 step with sharp right turn stoop, I use the walking mode pushing from behind to get up stairs will little effort
Nice review fellas - I'm especially interested in performance you found after overriding the class 2 limitations. Warranty, safety yes yes I understand. I'm about to buy 2 of these bikes and love all about them except for the class 2 limit, would like to learn how much better it performed when you lifted that limit. Is what we are seeing in your video here already with the limiter lifted, or were you able to get the bike to higher speeds with the limiter off and we're just not seeing in this edit? If I can get these performing more like a class 3 I'll buy them right away, but that 20mph is a tough call... Thanks in advance!
Great review! Informative, thorough and fair. Color of the bike in this review is Indigo, right? Thought I heard Silver mentioned, but that should be much lighter than this. Thanks.
I've been having nonstop problems with my Velotric - I think it will be great if I can get it functional, but we are now on 6 weeks trying to get a defective product working. Poor quality control, assembly issues, stripped screws, etc.
I noticed that in every gear with pedal assist you are pedaling very fast, is that necessary or can a person pedal at a more leisurely pace with pedal assist?
I am overwhelmed by all the new companies with their E-bike choices. I HATE the 20mph limitation. I don't want big brother dumbing down my purchase. I will sort through your reviews of Class 3 but regarding "limiters". Can an end-user bypass limiters if willing to void a warranty. If yes, what bikes are best for the fastest speeds? I am 5'10" and 180lbs.
That would be the Nite Ize Wraptor. Ryan has used it for quite a few ebike reviews. And he has yet to lose a phone, highly recommend it. amzn.to/3ATUGXO (affiliate link)
It is not to difficult, just a bit more involved then a typical bike. Hub motors use bolts instead of a QR like most bikes, and you have to disconnect the rear motor wiring. Not something we like having to do on the side of our road/trail.

I have had one of these for a month now - life-changing for me living in hilly San Francisco - love it!
how good is it using it as a mountain bike?

I'm waiting for mine to arrive here in Wisconsin. It now has hydraulic brakes & 5 levels of pedal assist!
Seems like a nice bike - Really like the larger tires, those are definitely handy on potholed WI roads!
Agreed!
@@EbikeEscape nice review, btw, are the tires tubeless?
Even though i purchased a different bike, this is easily the best bike for the money, especially in November 2022 sale price .

Step thru and swept back handlebars are a must for older riders, imo. Once the campaign is over, they can raise the price quite a bit.
And I definitely think they will be. Thanks for watching!
$1349 right now
They'll only get cheaper as they become outdated by newer versions.
What's the weight of the bike with the battery?
Thanks for sharing, I think my mom might like it!
Awesome, it is a stylish looking ebike!

The silver definitely looks more like white on their website so I guess this is the indigo...

20 mph with throttle only on US roads is a Federal safety requirement. A class 3 can go up to 28 with peddle assist.
Recommendations for a class 3 ebike step through for 300 lb max capacity with 750watt motor with 1000 plus peak.
Check out the Himiway Zebra video we just posted, that bike fits the bill. -JT
My wife is 4'11", and prefers a step through class 3 with a 30-60 mile range 28 mph peak. Any recommendations?
Maybe an Lectric 3.0 step through with extended battery. It is a class 3 when unlocked.
Can you tell me the brand of holder you have attaching your phone. Let me know. Thanks.

How easy/hard is it to fix a flat on the rear tire?

Put it in 5 man!!!
Aventon blows this away
Too slow i test drove one!!!
I wish I had this bike so I can ride at school
Maybe practice your diction and learn to not end each sentence with an upward inflection, like you're asking a question with every sentence.
i think a 500 dollar Bird scooter is faster than that.... 18mph is not fast
It is an e bike not a scooter
