- This coaching session is a roller-coaster of events and I suggest watching it in its entirety before making claims/comments. I very rarely ever coach bronze players, however I've never coached one who has been completely hard stuck for such a long time. This coaching session attempts to get to his core problems and try to open up his eyes to how the game functions. In the coming weeks the goal shall be to make him able to get gold in a short time span. The legend of the Blue-Eyes WhiteFury Dragon.

let's look at level advantages for example...
he goes straight from "oh there is level advantages" to "i just can't figure it out"
or "i don't have mouse accuracy" straight to "i don't know how to improve that"
or "minions aggro you if you attack the enemy" straight to "i don't get that"
it literally takes less than a minute to figure all of that out by yourself without even looking at guides (ok mby except level advantages if you don't know the champions)
When he says "I'm sorry I'm annoying you" is when I stopped laughing, and felt bad for him. Socially inept, anxiety, nervous, scared, all of it. Dang man. Wish the guy well.

Imanol Calvo to be honest I think it was a joke (since he was coming off as angry and aggressive, so he exagerated that about dogs) just didn't work that well.
Imanol Calvo It's a petty attempt at a joke which with better execution would have been funnier. The joke timing is perfect but the execution is a bit off.

LS comes off as a harsh guy. But if you actually watch the video, LS is actually kinda genuine and actually cares about his client and WANTS him to get out of bronze. Around 20 minutes, he tells him he's going to refund him (wasn't even asked), is going to find him a different coach, and still continues to teach him. I respect that. What he does struggle with however is maybe graceful social interactions. Like someone mentioned, sometimes it does seem like LS is facepalming when he's silent for 5 to 10 secs, and that's not encouraging either. Nonetheless, quality work.

KnightOfLightning im happy for him,but the scary/sad thing may be that hes a one trick player thats forced into a mindset,kind of like a musician that can play 1 song perfectly but cant jam or create a solo even though subconciously hes practised these things from mastering the single song.Just my two pennies.

I rly think that being strict and telling people their flaws in an aggressive manner (so they take that shit more seriosly) is a good way to teach someone. But I don't get when someone fucks up (like when he died 1v1 to viktor), LS just stands there silent for 5 to 10 seconds, giving the impression that he is facepalming and cringing. I don't know if thats supposed to accomplish something, cuz imo it just makes the guy feel like shit.
I think that wasn't even ls cringing to make him feel bad, it was him trying to keep in and not blow up. He's trying to hold it in VERY hard this entire video.
I don't think it was any of those things. It's more about having too much information to give and not knowing which to give first. Just "where do I start". What does a player that can't cs, position, trade, recognize leveling, etc need first to start improving? It's the whole reason he usually sticks to gold plus: people are at least aware of what fundamentals are or should be.

You probably aren't worth taking the time responding to if you can't recognize the results he consistently gets from coaching. Nor do you recognize how grateful players are after the sessions. But I will take a minute out of my day anyways. Being a good coach comes down to knowing what players need to succeed (game knowledge and ability to understand players and their pros/cons), both of which LS excels at. Another thing a coach needs is good communication / a way to get a point across and if you notice, he always asks if players understands concepts and dedicates time and effort until they say they understand. And of course, coaching means nothing without results.... But his results of coaching speak for themselves, at which point I bid you go do your own research.

Not gonna lie at first i thought "he is being a bit mean" but then not only was this guy lying to him, he was not understanding his own lack of skill. He is a Coach, he talks like a coach and for those who have never played a sport, they can sound mean but they are being straight-forward and blunt. He is being paid to make this guy play better, he can't do that if the guy doesn't want to get better. Not only that but his "students" reflect his skill as a coach to a degree so it is very important his lessons take seed and grow.
I am bad at the game and I know it, I have only recently started watching videos to improve. These videos are super helpful and I am learning a lot on how to improve actually. You are really knowledgeable and if I get to Plat, maybe I can get a session to hit Diamond :)

He's a goddamn coach. Not your friend. If you want a friend as a coach than good luck to you. But Being a coach and coaching is being as blunt as possible. Part of getting better is being able to face what you're doing wrong and how to handle it. If you can't handle all sorts of criticism then you shouldn't be getting coaches.

I'm a free coach (I don't think I'm good enough to justify asking for money yet, since I'm still learning) I've had students go from Bronze to Platinum. He needs to get a free coach that's Diamond or above to walk him through the basics... Bronze 3 seasons in a row means you're doing most things wrong. Diamond 3 seasons in a row and not being able to climb to Masters means you're doing something wrong.

The really good info starts coming in around 35 minutes roughly, when they start doing 1v1 Garens. The way he describes pockets and lane positioning is really helpful. It really nails on how watching pros and seeing them do good things isn't really enough, you need to understand WHY they do certain things, otherwise it's hard to distinguish what's important and crucial for consistent success
I think watching the first few minutes are good too, especially 20-24 minutes, really describes what mindset you should have to climb

Most of low elo coaching vids depicts people that are really unable to acknowledge their own mistakes and flaws. It's been very helpful to realize necessary mindset changes in order to get better.

As a bronze 3 player, i actually learned a lot from this video like playing in pockets and some of the advice was just great for me, and immediately after watching this video i went on a 6 win streak and won my promo from following some of his advice and just being more aware of my laners build and counter building and other things. great video for noobs.
