- For me A New Years Eve cruise has been a bucket list item for a very long time, I recently sailed aboard Royal Caribbeans Odyssey of the Seas for a 9 night New Years Eve sailing. Sailing over New Years brought a whole new experience in cruising for me. During this video I breakdown what the crowd was like, I talk about what the cruise ship and cruise line did to facilitate Midnight Celebrations and I talk about who a New Years cruise would be right for.
During this cruise we stopped at Perfect day At Coco Cay in the Bahamas, Grand Cayman, Aruba and Curaçao. We spent New Years eve day on Coco Cay and shared the island with freedom of the seas. I talk about the energy on the island and where the party was focused on the island.

Yeah, it was hilarious watching the workers on the pier. They were having to also make sure the drunkies were getting on the right ship! Haha
We've never been on a New Years Eve Cruise. Maybe some day. We do love Royal Caribbean though!!

NYE is not so much the draw for me but a 9 day cruise sounds amazing!!!! 7 days is too short and doing a back to back on the same ship becomes too repetitive.
9 nights was the sweet spot. I remember on the Friday of our cruise thinking, man if this had been a 7 day we would have been off already, but we had that day and another full sea day ahead of us. Of course it still didn’t make me happy having to get off the ship ! Haha

We didn’t have fireworks on our new year cruise, but they had so many activities it was amazing!
