This is what I like about metroman he's sort of the inverse of Megamind. While Megamind was looked down upon due to being raised in a prison and wasn't really given a chance leading him to embrace those preconceived biases. Meanwhile, Metroman was praised for his powers, however with this comes expectations of him to use those powers for good. Megamind was limited via negative bias, while Metroman was limited via positive bias. Which does explain why they do consider eachother as friends despite being enemies.
Music Man was born. That way he can keep his logo, was finally free to get in touch with his true Power skilled Talent, waving lyrical magic Music, starting with this. He has eyes with S Ray Visions that can see through lead, ( X Ray doesn't stand for anything S Ray stands for Skeletal Ray) but anyway he has eyes that can see directly past lead type metal, that's an insult to Superman, because Clark Joseph Kent, Kal El, alias Superman S Ray Vision eyes can't see past through lead, it blocks his S Ray Vision, Lead can even Block Kryptonite Weaking Radiation from killing Superman, hurting him, or draining his powers except Gold Kryptonite brought to you by Firestorm. But Metro Man S ray vision can see directly past through lead type metal.

@@kingcamelot1395Roxanne reaction, though exaggerated, are 100% justified considering Metro Man literally deceive her, quite literally his one of the closest confidant, by faking his own death. Not only lying to her, he also lied to the whole Metro City citizen. And the reason why he had to lie also just unacceptable. He could've just be honest and said he wanted to quit, no one really can't say no to him. Roxanne would definitely not reacted the way she does here and some people can understand why he wanted out and respect his decision, especially the worn out adults that can relate how burned out and what it could do to your mind and soul. He could still around the city while doing whatever the hell he wants and his presence alone is still an effective deterrent for any major crime to take place without him even doing anything. Sure he may get a backlash, but it's far better than getting caught later on and destroys what he has built all those years, and he can always help Mega Mind and Roxanne when they're in a emergency without any repercussion. To me his reasoning are just flawed and rather extremely dramatic.
@@MillenniumEarl014Megamind created Tighten because Metro Man faked his death which led to Megamind having his own existential crisis. If he said what he truly felt during those times, there is a chance Megamind will become good sooner and Tighten would not have been created. He doesn't owe the city anything but he still owe Megamind for how he treated him during childhood which Metro Man never thought of apologizing and here he owes Roxanne as well who is one of his closest friends and would have listened to his personal problems. I like Metro Man but choosing the easy way out will have consequences.
My favorite thing here is that he's really bad at music. He chose it because for once it's something he's not naturally good at, he has to work and learn and his powers can't do it for him
I think metroman is genuis, Metro man know that if he tell the people that he will just leave and stop being a hero and stop helping the city, they will hate him and insult him they will never accept metroman decesion, they will treat him like Unfaithful traitor because he decide to leave everything behind and become what he really want, they will never give him an option, because of that he decide to fake his death, to keep a good reputation of him and keep good legacy and impression without even let people arguing about his decesion and without letting people admonishing him all the time.

Maybe im reading too much into it but the part where metroman took the kite from the kid symbolizes he never had a regular childhood and maybe flying a kite was something he always wanted to do but because he had powers his family and everyone around him probably treated him and expected him to be something greater. Like he said he never had a choice which is odd why does he feel as though he didnt have a choice. Probably because everyone but him wanted to him to be a hero and thinking that what he should do became one.
I unironically love that the Metroman dilemma is both understandable, relatable and can still be criticized equally. I’m glad people recognize megamind had a very good story.
Actually, it can't be criticized. Because all he ever did was just play with Mega mind, who was never a real threat to anyone. It's like an actor going into retirement.
I know that Tighten exists to poke at the 'nice guy' mentality, but I kind of love Metro Man being the opposite: that it doesnt matter how fantastic and awesome you are as a human man you do have a choice to love and take care of yourself and do your own thing. You dont have to live a life of sacrifice because you're good at it
This movie is a lot better than i give it credit for. It cuts away from the cliche badguy turns good and actually puts a spin on it. It also gives some perspective as well. People say that the way you were born and raised is how you will end up. Thats not true. You can be who you want to be. Metroman didn't want his circumstances to be his life and so he chose what he wanted
Funny how Metroman can legit go so fast he just stops time yet decided to sneak away from Roxanne and Megamind at normal speed. He can also fly yet decided to walk.
This is why he's different from Superman. He never was challenged enough with opponents like Brainiac or Darkseid, with Megamind as the only villian to face, I'd get bored with the job too and want to take up other hobbies.
I really sympathize with Metro Man for feeling forced into a position, but faking his death was not really the best option (especially if it meant the villain would win). He could’ve trained a successor or a team to share his duties, allowing him to find a balance between helping the city and exploring his own desires. He could’ve also sought out support and maybe even consider taking a break to rediscover himself, ensuring the city remains protected in his absence.

@@bottomtext3063we could all just pull a “star wars sequel trilogy” and pretend they aren’t canon
@@The_Real_Priestyea you can do that, but so you really think the Star Wars sequel trilogy is non canon? Every tv show, movie, book even that comes out after the ST is trying to make sense of the STs story problem, shows like the mandalorian, bad batch, obiwan and now ahsoka seem to be tying it into the sequel trillogy, dropping hints on how certain aspects came to be, all eventually tying into the first ST movie or even beyond. If you were to go that direction then the “mando verse” should be considered non canon, hell any show with ties or trying to tie it with the ST should be ignored and not considered canon. I've been reading comments like this so often that you all are going to convince me Markiplier IS Metro Man's VA at this rate.
The fact that megamind is evil but he never hurt innocent people or making big destruction, he just playing around
Then he isn't evil. He's just got a bad start.
He’s basically just a troublemaker
And Metro Man probably knew that, that's why he let him run rampant when he faked his own death.

Calling it for kids is an insult to this masterpiece

One little detail I like is he's unphased by everything roxanne hits him with except the guitar, he looks at it
This is what I like about metroman he's sort of the inverse of Megamind.
I love that they didn’t make Metro Man the bad guy.. he’s just a burnt out gifted child.. 🥲

SLAMMING GUITAR ON METRO MAN HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH 3:20
GAH
He probably could have quit
He just needed to confer with the city to leave some kind of replacment force like upgraded law enforcement
But burnout doesnt really help with decision making honestly.
He didn't want to deal with the backlash. How Roxanne reacted to why he quit? Everyone would have reacted like that, they wouldn't have understood why he wanted out.
@@kingcamelot1395 true.
@@komi-samabeliever7319stfu. Megamind created Tighten. Metroman doesn't owe anyone anything lol
@@MillenniumEarl014Megamind created Tighten because Metro Man faked his death which led to Megamind having his own existential crisis. I understand how Metro Man felt but faking his death is still not a good idea.
He chose it because for once it's something he's not naturally good at, he has to work and learn and his powers can't do it for him
Bro is literally the fastest comic book character
I think metroman is genuis, Metro man know that if he tell the people that he will just leave and stop being a hero and stop helping the city, they will hate him and insult him they will never accept metroman decesion, they will treat him like Unfaithful traitor because he decide to leave everything behind and become what he really want, they will never give him an option, because of that he decide to fake his death, to keep a good reputation of him and keep good legacy and impression without even let people arguing about his decesion and without letting people admonishing him all the time.
He can move so fast he can halt time, but tiptoed anyway.
He got put on the spot, that's how.

"SPEAK, apparition." 😂
This movie is a lot better than i give it credit for. It cuts away from the cliche badguy turns good and actually puts a spin on it. It also gives some perspective as well. He could’ve trained a successor or a team to share his duties, allowing him to find a balance between helping the city and exploring his own desires. He could’ve also sought out support and maybe even consider taking a break to rediscover himself, ensuring the city remains protected in his absence.
