Bloody great film Dave and thank you for again expressing what the shooting community does for local b&bs, the keepers for the countryside and the work that goes in. Not just about the trigger action
Another great film from Dave. I look forward to watching your films and thoroughly enjoy every minute. Good to see and hear you talking to the people who help run the shoot and put together a great day. Great camera work and a credit to all who are involved. It beats watching X factor on a Saturday evening, thanks Dave.
Great shooting Dave, and some stupendous birds. Never shot Chargot, but in my youth in the 1970’s spent a fair few weekends down there in the Brendon Hills hunting with the Devon & Somerset Staghounds.
Yet again Dave another magnificent video from you and your team i’am across the other side of the world at the min on holiday but had to watch this could not wait till get home all the best 👍
You are a very lucky man Dave. But I won't hold that against you whilst you keep posting these brilliant videos. Just breathtaking the locations, the people, the game. These in years to come will become classics much like Jack Charlton, s series Jack's Game. You need to produce a dvd or dvd, s Game Shooting in the UK How to shoot sporting birds Patterning and maintenance and begginers clay shooting. You really have such a broad knowledge base of Field sports and shooting Dave it needs doing. Well done to the whole team. Regards Tony.
Dave, I've watched all of your videos and I have to say that your shooting is exceptionally masterful and the quality of the photography is sublime. Please keep up the great work and know that you have a faithful viewer and fellow bird shooter here in the US. Best regards!
Well done, Dave. Beautiful video - I enjoyed the misses! Nice to see Devon alongside your beloved Yorkshire in showing the odd tall bird. Next time you come down here, let's meet of a glass of something?
Lovely video, Dave. Thanks for featuring Exmoor House in your film, it was lovely to meet you and we were pleased you liked our B&B, although I take slight issue with being classed as 'in my 60's'. I'm 55!! Still, Austin and my friends are getting plenty of mileage out of it, much to their amusement!
Absolutely a wonderful movie as always but I have a little request can you focus on the braking action and slow motion on the ejecting just from a time to another I really enjoy seeing it And thanks for these movies
Tony Ashton has said it all Dave another brilliant video keep them coming, could you please do a video about lead on high birds after this current game season please as I have trouble in judging lead thank you.
I remember years ago Kent Cartridges produced a cartridge based on the shoot called “Chargot”. 32g 6 if I remember and what a killing cartridge. Found nothing better since
Dave Carrie Shooting god no I agree, your birds were stratospheric compared to the birds we shot with Chargot. It’s a joy to watch your videos and the combination of great birds good cartridges and years of experience with your shot placement. I lost count of the times I found myself saying wow as the birds crumpled
Good show Sir .Wonderful place Chargot. Nice seductive light show unless intended or generator running out of diesel there in Dunster lol.Frame rate or shutter speed adjustment will cure it if needs be in the future. No surprise some West Country loaders are still taking bribes. Plastic wads still favoured there as on some other Exmoor shoots.Personally think this arena highlights the difference albeit marginal.
Thank you sir for carrying the flag with such panache and enthusiasm for all the aspects of a day in the field with aptly put ''kindred spirits''.Tall Birds.
The film's you post are very good Dave. Trouble is it's reaching the point where, if you've seen one you've seen them all. Variety, as they say, is the spice of life. Try a bit of wildfowling, pigeon shooting etc. I would very much look forward to something like that. Thanks, keep up the good work.
i agree it is hard to please one group without upsetting another, our intention is to show just what you have mentioned above, takes time but we will get there.👍
Hello Dave, brilliant shooting as always. You seem to be preferring the traditional sporting/schnabel forend as of late. Any particular reason? Wonderful film!
Hi Dave. Sorry if this has been asked before but have you considered recording some footage of you in action with a ShotKam gun mounted camera? Great shooting. Cheers
Along with the other 6300 subscribers I really enjoy watching your film diary's, I know the camera can not be in two places at once but I would love to see some footage of the guy's and girl's who bring those challenging birds to you, along with our canine friends who do such a great job.
Well David. I am going on a driven shoot mainly duck . Eley 32gram 7 fiber wad high velocity. My gun is a semi auto 36 inch barrel full choke. Do you think the cartridges are ok or would i want no 6 or no 5 shells. Thanks in advance,
What a beautiful place !!! I would remember that shoot for all the days of my life. Simply fantastic !! Great shooting Dave.
thanks once again

Really wouldn't mind Dave coming to shoot on my shoot, I'm afraid he might be too good a shot!!
every shoot is ok in my eyes and all have their place in the countryside whether large or small high or low

That's a fine idea I am not a bad shot but not anywhere in Dave, s league. I consider him one of our finest game shot, s.
I remember years ago Kent Cartridges produced a cartridge based on the shoot called “Chargot”. 32g 6 if I remember and what a killing cartridge. Found nothing better since
i certainly would not have used 6s on these birds but Kent did produce some fantastic cartridges

Amazing...
Send from iran...🦆
thankyou
Fantastic! I noticed you were shooting a different shell, what was it?
Gamebore buffalo 4s and some dark storm 4s
What’s the highest bird you shot here? And what gun and cartridge were you using? Great video
some would be 75 yards i would think but majority would be 50 to 65yds, i was using my Miroku MK60s with Gamebore 3s and 4s
2:14 what are those?
What kind of a lead are you putting on some of those high birds? I would love to learn how to hit those long distance shots like these
Do you pay for all the days yourself or is it sponsored or invited and also great shooting!
I would love to shoot in the uk but it costs so much money 😢
Great shooting Dave! What chokes do you prefer on those high birds?
3/4 3/4 or full and full

Totally agree a behind the scenes of what makes an epic day.
getting there
where did you get the tie from Dave ?
Warter priory gold tie - a sort of accolade for free if you shoot well😀
@@DaveCarrieShooting Sounds like a challenge that needs to be addressed....👍
What were the red cartridges? Regals?
Were they nobels?
Possibly Buffalo
no
@@ShotawayFilms correct they were buffalo and dark storm

7s are a bit light for duck 5s will be better
@@DaveCarrieShooting thanks David
Can you do more exmoor / south west videos?
if i am asked i will do them
Second barrel dave you should be called
Ha Ha!! use that a lot but sometimes birds are so difficult to read i am grateful for it
Hi Dave, were the orange cartridges you used in this film Nobels?
no - Buffalo
Dave Carrie Shooting how do they compare to black golds?
Ok, a great shoot, however guns and alcohol are not a great combination.
got to agree
