Excellent video! Thank you! I love this guy cause he doesn't beat about the bush just straight up on emphasizing over and over again that ultimately one has to maintain a WFPB-SOS diet for life to get healthy and remain healthy fasting or no fasting! Amen! If only I had known about True North while I was in the USA for 20 years. That said I'll need to find a place down undah in oz where I'm originally from. For all you Americans, I'm the brown kind of Australian and yes this is possible. Thank you. Somehow this seems to be a difficult concept up North who knows why? But loved it there and thank you.

I recently learned that BMI can be obtained by simply dividing weight by height. Also body fat can be estimated by dividing height by abdominal circumference. Easy calculations without expensive equipment.

I would like to hear more about how to get adequate protein on a diet that doesn't include legumes. How does one get enough of all the essential amino acids? I read Proteinoholic, and loved it. However, in my mind the short hand answer to the question 'how to get adequate protein on a vegan diet' is still - combine legumes with some sort of grains on most days.

Tofu´s great, complete protein. Lentil pasta will surprise you with how much it has. Nutritional yeast with pasta for example veggie macaroni cheese. It´s tricky but quite doable. Btw protein shakes are cool, so long as you don´t get the sweetened ones and don´t depend on them.

HCM is a serious condition that should be managed by a cardiologist experienced in diagnosis and management. Eating healthy cant hurt but is not a cure and discontinuing medicine without checking with your cardio can be dangerous.

I think you possibly underestimate the power of radically healthy food - and the absence of unhealthy foods. However, I agree that going off medication for serious medical issues, should only be done in consultation with a doctor.

Have you figured out the root cause (eg pain, waking anxious at 3am etc?).
I'm perimenopauseal and taking hormone supplementation. That has helped a good bit, but I have also added L-theanine (to help my body produce meliton better throughout the night) and magnesium glycinate. Night sweats are a big issue for me. It's not just temperature; they correspond with anxiety type chemicals being released in my body. I'm looking into the possibility of antidepressants or gabapentin (spelling?) to help with that (maybe). I realize these are chemicals, but I'm a basket case without sleep (emotional distress, making potentially harmful mistakes, inability to think through and understand how to improve my sleep, etc). If you are past menopause or could be in perimenopause consider reading "The Menopause Brain" by Lisa Mosconi.
If not, maybe L-theanine and/or magnesium glycinate could help. Or, figure out if there is another root cause (eg medication side effect, noisy environment, too little physical activity during the day, pain, etc).
I have great sympathy for you.
      For what it's worth, I'll pray ❤

Think this post is maybe what you refer. Natural Hygiene was taught by Natives to USA medical people & those teachings remained the law of the land up until the late 1800's when big pharma began to take over making Natural Hygiene unjustly obsolete until early 1900's when Herbert M. Shelton re-founded the orthopaedic practice at his health sanatoriums & by the 1950's he ran for potus, but big oil land grabs & big pharma swindles had a monopoly by then, also it was further corrupted by the liquor industry that had spiraled out of control as a drug of choice ever since the 1930's. So it is way past time to make Natural Hygiene a part of our daily lives again, as the once sober apple cart was upset too many times over the years by oppressive governmental inebriated addicts who have been increasingly abusing a once sound medical practice here in America for far too long. Here is my take on needed improvements for those who have yet them or even considered changing these corrupt current laws yet. Back around the 70's reagan began shutting down state hospitals to save taxes for the rich resulting in an ever increasing spiral of homeless street people & overcrowded prisons. Reagan was inebriated on his bubbly. That points to another mess up that occurred back in the 30's when they made alcohol their drug of choice as legal recreation & criminalized other intoxicants. Past time for a resolution to both these gross errors. 1- make all drugs & alcohol legal medically with supervision. 2-drug & alcohol test all law enforcement, politicians, educators & gun owners at their own expense, never as illegal recreation in use currently. Until those insane obsolete laws, rules & regulations are changed with appropriate resolutions the errors of the past will continue to escalate.
