An estimated 40+% of GNP is unearned income the largest component of hwich is the income from ownership of land and natural resources. This is an economic value created by the community of all people and only become unearned when private individuals pocket it. It is this huge economic wealth created by all of us that is the appropriate source of revenue for all community purposes and could anytime we chose to have it be the source of solving the environmental crisis. Failure to do so leaves in the hands of so-called private owners of planet earth the incentive to continue exploiting the earth and everyone else for so-called capitalist profit. We do not have capitalism. We have a corrupt form of feudalism that is adopted as part and parcel of capitalism when it is not properly part of it at all.

It is a call for change, radical change. Subtle and barely audible in the beginning.
Then gaining in volume and urgency as the story unfolds, finding its climax in the performance of a Requiem (Song of Death) and Oratorio (Song of Rebirth).
History moves in cycles, endlessly repeating itself. The 14th century Florentine
composer "Claudio Marchetto Casserta" saw his world not much different from the way we perceive ours - corrupt, manipulated by powerful special interests, held together by force and all subservient to the dictates of money (Global Capital). www.rolandbethke.com
And he decides to do something about it , to warn his fellow citizens of the impending danger and pleading to stop or even reverse the trend.
His tools are the power of the pen, the power of the written word and the power of music and he expresses his vision, warning and plea in a "Requiem" bemoaning the death of an epoch, a period in history and an ideology/philosophy, which had sustained a social order for 1000 years.
Followed by an "Oratorio" celebrating the renewal of the old and birth of a new world.
In the story Claudio Marchetto Casserta's composition is declared heretical and he is silenced by the prevailing powers.
Today we know that his time was the beginning of the Reformation, probably the most cataclysmic Revolution in the history of man and it may not be over yet.
The musical manuscript for both the Requiem and Oratorio vanished for nearly 500 years and was re-discovered in a 1000 year old Franciscan Monastery in the High Tatra of the Carpathian Mountains by three amateur musician, the principal protagonist of the story.
During an "Evening of Music" - the last six chapters and the focus of the narrative from the very beginning - the performance of Requiem and Oratorio, represent the Peripety of the story.

Provide abundance of sustainable life by simply starting with anything you can think of.
We can listen to another person that speaks a lot of words about stuff you suppose to know by now, in this abundance of 24/7 available information. This pseudo capitalistic coercive technocratic system, that presents itself as freedom and democracy, causes scarcity, on purpose, while it destroys life. Which causes more scarcity. The government is an extension of the market, while the market is a deed of aggression, because the people behind it use the government to sustain scarcity, and so a market, because only their products are available, while alternatives are condemned in their vast media.
Provide abundance of sustainable life with simple technology. People like Paul Stamets and Geoff Lawton just show results. It is possible. Cannabis can suck in incredible amounts of carbon in one season. I quit eating dairy, meat and fish, and so I save incredible amounts of resources like water (±800 liter) a day. This woman here lives a luxurious life, provided by the same Babylon system that destroys life. Walk the talk, and otherwise, shut up.
Another talking head that wants to sell a bunch of dead trees with letters printed on them about the problem. Useless. Start to create sustainable life with simple solutions. I started, what about you?
