One of the best historical drama ever. Very epic and intense. Watching the behind the scenes give me joy because they are all relax and cheerful during the filming
Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook are very convincing in acting their roles in this drama. They have amazing chemistry as a couple. They deserve to win the best couple award!
I prefer her chemistry and relationships with Tal Tal and Wang Yu. That coward, cruel, insane, insecure and traitorous emperor did not deserve her. He didn't redeem himself until the very end. I'll never forgive him for murdering Wang Yu (which he basically tried to do multiple times before).
Wang Yu had so many people supporting him to the core. All of them were willing to die for him where as Emperor had none. Even his so called mom and much trusted Kolta betrayed him. All he had was Empress Ki. And he was always manipulated by others. He was always lonely and alone. His love for Ki was unconditional. Where as Wang yu chose his kingdom over Ki. Then if you are hating the emperor character, that means the actor pulled off the character very well. He was childish, depressed, clingy and craved love and affection. He did it so well where as Wang yu always had a single image to maintain. He was manly, good at everything and he even smiled very less. He had to maintain the same expression through out the drama where as the actor playing the emperor had so many dimension to carry off through out the plot.
