Frankie Beverly stated he was 72 years old. He was on stage an hour and 47 minutes. He poured his heart out in every song. The audience did too because we sang right along with him. He may not sound like he did at 62 or 52 or 42, but as long as he keeps giving us those “Happy Feelins” so we can deal with the everyday “Joy and Pain” I’ll be “Back in Stride” the next time.
