Gotta love those little Fiery Brookies in the small streams of the Catskills, great filming John of this ]epic Day, keep em coming first class entertainment.
Awesome video!!! Reminds me of the historical accounts of seemingly endless numbers brook trout in Catskill streams discussed in Catskill related literature. In times of endless doom and gloom news it's nice to know places like this still exist and thrive. Way too many Catskill anglers no longer explore or pay any attention to the multitudes of Catskill feeder creeks just like the one you fished.
I agree there are still some brook trout strongholds and this stream is one of them! Important to do all we can to protect these fragile streams and keep them wild!
Your joy for "trophy" brookies from small streams is infectious. I live in the mountains of Maine and I have so many new Google Earth pins in small mountain streams because of you! Can't wait for spring!
Thats so awesome. I went to college in Maine and was just learning to flyfish but got to explore a little and would love to go back and do more someday. Good luck getting out and exploring!
That's great. What an awesome brook trout stream that is. The kids and me are headed up there Tuesday into Wednesday. We're definitely going to head upstream further than we normally do.
I was thinking of hitting that stream about a week ago but went over to one of the PA brooks. I'm curious what net you're using. I need to get a small stream net. I'd love to get a Hellbender but don't want to spend that much right now. Once again, a beautiful video.
The net is a cheapo bass pro shops one that was like 12 bucks lol, I lose them a bunch so hate to spend money and its nice to have a small one on these little creeks.
You are probably better off fishing the larger waters of the southern catskills if you're coming from out of town. The small streams can get almost dry most time of the late spring through fall. The rest of the catskills can be okay too but even the larger streams are not that easy to figure out
One of the things I appreciate most is how each new video seems to be more artistic and inviting. Thank you (again)!
Thanks so much, I always appreciate your feedback and support! I think of you guys when I'm making em so glad you are enjoying !

Thanks so much, they were certainly fired up this day!
Love the conveyer belt shot at the end! You’re the man Jon, keep fishing!
It was like a conveyor belt lol!! Love the description! If you guys keep watching I'll keep fishing and making vids!

Another great video! That stream is loaded with brook trout!
It was absolutely loaded for sure!
A beautiful stream loaded with awesome fish and complete solitude…. Hard to beat
I agree it was pretty much a perfect day!!
Nice cast over the rock for the take! Great stuff
Yeah I like to cast over rocks or sticks to help with drag sometimes.
Thanks again John. Another work of art. It's so great to find and explore these little gems and find wild fish.
I agree I love these little wild streams, so fun to explore new ones!
I caught 2 brookies in the Adirondacks yesterday.Great video.
Nice thats awesome! I haven't fished the ADKs in awhile need to get back up there!
Just when I think you can't improve on perfection, and you have to go and drop this video 👍👍
Thanks so much, had a blast fishing so glad you enjoyed!
Good one Jon! You have definitely inspired me to try and get some takes on film when filming for my channel. Tightlines my friend!
You should its really cool when it works out!
Nicely done
Thank you sir!

Thats great i hope you guys have fun and catch lots of trout!!
I didn't think part 1 could be topped... but holy heck Jon this was amazing. The fishing was phenomenal as was the videography as usual.
Thanks so much, yeah the bite seemed to get better as the day went on and the fish got bigger and prettier!
Beautiful stream, beautiful fish and a great video.
Thanks so much it was a great day for sure!
What a day! Great stream and gorgeous filming.
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed!
Like the drone shots flying up stream

Good gracious John…they were slamming that fly. What size was that?
I think I fished pretty much all day with a 16 parachute adams
What part of the catkills is this stream? I don't recognize it. Is it a day trip or overnight hike in?
This is a pretty "well known" stream. I started within sight of my car.
What waders are you wearing?
These are cabelas wading pants. Love them. 100$ and good quality
@@deaddriftoutdoors2940 Nice. I need to find those. These hip wader frogg toggs get to darn hot for me in the heat of the summer.
Can you point me in the direction of this stream? Im from Cleveland and want to take a nice 4-5 day trip out this way
I try not to name these small wild streams but honestly most of the small streams in the Catskills on public land have a trout or two.

All good, I will continue to explore! Much love! @@ThatSB
It's like they have never eaten
I know they were ravenous!!!
