The place wasn't nasty, some apartments have bugs before you get there and they can get worse even when you keep the house clean, this should be an easy move out
Apartment bugs are tricky because you can be the cleanest person ever, but if the people next door to you, below you, or above you have roaches you will too.
I'd hate to see how YOU live, since you said "the place wasn't nasty"... Hmmm... Did you not see the baby cockroaches and the ants crawling all over the seal of the refrigerator door? And you don't think that's nasty? Says a lot about you.
I have an apartment and I make sure I pay my rent. I use to be homeless and I make sure that my bills are all paid and even though I have cut out some things. I always say live within your means.
After I left my ex’s apartment I was sleeping in my car for a little bit. I got a storage unit, a gym membership to bathe at, and used my backseat of my car as my bed, and my ass STILL made it to work…. So my “house” was parked around the corner from my gym
Just because you have roaches don't mean you a dirty person. Many years ago when I lived with my mother our apartment was infested with roaches and we were clean people. Roaches were there when we moved in. Roaches are cannibals and can survive off eating each other. This place don't look bad and they probably left because of the roaches. Landlord needs to hire a professional exterminator to get rid of the roaches before renting it out again.
It's apparent from the flies, they have been gone awhile. Not sure how long that's been going on. But from the amount of flies I wouldn't take those mattresses or furniture anywhere I'd burn them.
The landlord should be calling pest control. I moved in to a apt and the first night I turned the light on there here thousands of Roaches I left all the bedding and furniture then went to laundry mart and washed all the clothing before going to my next apt. I should have taken the landlord to court for not disclosing there was bug problem.
You can get rid of the roaches but they need a professional. Living in squalor is depressing. There is something wrong with a person who lives like that!
I'm not sure if the electricity is off but the bugs around the refrigerator seal, don't look good. I think if food goes bad in a refrigerator with power out, the whole fridge has to be thrown away. Cuz I don't think you're able to get the smell out of the seal. I could be wrong.
