Thank god this is a beginner's class, these students needed it lol. I learned so much in just the first ten minutes of this video, definitely going to develop a type of lesson plan for my students in the future.

Weapons training is awesome because even if we're not walking around with a Bo staff you can still transfer the skills into another tool that you're more likely to come across

Great lessons on the warm up which is the most important part of the safety aspect of training.

Great class! I respect and throughly enjoy your instructional videos, and subscribed some time ago. I personally have been into martial arts my entire life, age 14 Black belt, age 17 instructor, and competing all along. Miscellaneous titles and multiple trophies to my credit. Your deposition and manorism is stellar! The only item I noticed is your students need to incorporate and practice controlled breathing while striking. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your channel!! Favorite recommended channel for all viewers. ONE KICK NICK

Just a suggestion; have another experienced instructor to help demonstrate how it "should" look with the partner drills. That way people see what they are working up to.

I've been researching a lot on the bo and although this video points out some stuff majority is poorly executed. Starting with the exercises. You should do it at your own pace not as he said "challenge yourself". They could hurt themselves especially because they aren't holding the bo correctly and making sure it doesn't hit their ribs which can do some serious damage. There's more but I'm just gonna leave it at that.

Linguistically, the correct is either bo or staff, not bo staff (staff staff) or a rokushakubo (about a 6' staff)

You know there won't be many students advancing to black belt when NONE of them looked at the instructor to compare their moves against his moves.

I respectfully disagree, in addition to his skills he is also demonstrating his ability as an instructor, which is a level above merely being an exhibitionist. I will add that his individual demonstrations are excellent also!
