Scamp·er /ˈskampər/verb 1. run with quick light steps, especially through fear or excitement. 2. An overused term by sports announcers particularly football in describing the running style of players.
UNC definitely didn't play well enough on the defensive side to win this game. We were unable to generate any pressure on Perkins and he had all day to find his targets. UVA played like they knew what was at stake in this game, and at times, we didn't. That's the deciding factor. I'm flabbergasted at the officiating for this game though. UVA had one penalty for five yards and I counted several block in the backs, blatant pass interference calls (one that prevented a potential TD for us that wasn't called), as well as several missed false starts on the right tackle. Meanwhile, we get flagged for helping a guy off the pile following a fumble. I've never seen anything like it. Certainly not why we lost, but certainly something that was noteworthy. Anyways, congrats to UVA. Definitely the best team in the Coastal...for this year, but don't worry. Once Mack gets his guys in, it's going to be a whole different story.
jtgoheels it was a road game for the hoos, give me a break. Go watch a sports game for a team you like and count the number of missed calls. In any sport. Officiating isn’t perfect, that goes for everyone
