I bought some of these and they failed within 6 weeks due to the wire coming out of the right-hand earplug. I sent them back for repair under warranty and Ultimate said it was my fault, even though I explained I had only used them 6 times due to lockdown. I would expect them to be much more robust than this. They offered to repair them for a charge which I thought was a bit rich so I will be using Custom Fit Guards from now on which are much better design.
I was issued these as a police motorcyclist, great, so good I ordered a second pair for private use!! still use them regularly 8 years later! I also use them in hotels on holiday.
Just ordered. See what they're like, hopefully make blood biking more comfortable whilst plugged into a cardo slimtalk. Can't wait for lockdown to be over when you and Toby can hang out again
I just got mine today and it's rubbish. Doesn't do anything. The ones you get from boots form form actually do something. These do nothing at all. Waste of money
After wat5cning the video they tell you to go to, I am thinking that they have sent me someone else ear puds, as mine do not fit like the one in the video. @@markgr1nyer
Do you know if you have got the single or dual speaker version? I believe they will work by plugging in to pactalk system. Basic plugs are really good.
Definitely be interesting to know if these work with the cardo packtalk bold? Be great if they do and you could then control your music from the BMW TFT?
I knock in wooden dowels, the first blow hurts a bit but you soon get over that. I have a pet Woodward who drills a little hole for me so I can listen to music or take a call. Total cost 5p Brilliant.
Any chance they'll let you review the bluetooth version? They are expensive on a stand alone basis, but may compare well against a full comms unit. Would be nice to know.
Hi Mark. Are these in-ear headphones still banned in France? I heard they brought in a law in 2015. If they are, in the real world is do the police actually enforce it?
Yes I use them with my pac talk bold. Best thing I’ve bought bike gear wise. Before my volume was on maximum but with these plugged in I have the volume on minimum. I can hear as clear at 70mph as I can when not even moving. Can’t recommend them enough.
Hi. I use them plugged direct into a Sena 10S. Work brilliantly, but the volume won't go down low enough! I bought an in-line attenuator to lower the volume further.
Great review? I personally use the disposable 3M plugs and listen to music/road reports via the Cardo. " Back with another of those block rockin' beats", get down...
I used to use 3m foam plugs but after some long motorway journeys found I was getting a bit of tinnitus an hour or so after riding. Switched to the basic ultimate ear plugs and there is a noticeable decrease in road noise and never had the tinnitus issue since. Totally recommend moulded ear plugs

I’m not aware they are enforcing it (the police). I have lots of people on tour who use them.
Thanks for sharing!!!
I live in Texas, USA.
Do you know if you have a store or distributor here?
Drop them an email I’m sure they can help you. Ride safe.

Wonder if anyone has tried plugging these directly into a Cardo Packtalk...
I wondered the same 🤔. Be much clearer than the in helmet speakers I suspect

Rather than using the tool to clean the hole in the earplug wouldnt it b easier for all to just keep our ear clear of wax ?
Great review?
