Cylinders har hard to visualize in 3d 😅 but hands har somewhat easier to me then body proportions. Cus i just cant get the torso the right size or when i do get it right the figure is super stiff. 😂
I liked the video but honestly found the sound effects very distracting and too frequent - a bit too loud compared to your voice, too. I like all your other videos! This one just felt a bit different.

Okay, so I think I'm alright... (aka horrible) at hands... I think my brain is of the persuasion that human hands match monkey hands... LIKE I CAN NEVER HAVE GOOD THUMB PLACEMENT! And I have ugly fingers, so as usual I want my characters hands to be prETtY hands... So I can't use my own hands as a reference. Although, this lesson helped me out a bit.
Regarding whether or not fingers are divided in three equal portions depends on what side you're looking at them from. If you look at them from the top of your hand, they're not, but if you look at them from your palm's side, they are. That's because the connections are not only slightly offset on each side, but also the webbing between the fingers changes our perspective on the proportions of the longer segment.
