3 Unique Pattern Rings: A Silversmithing Tip

  • This tip shows how to make 3 different fun open design pattern rings. There are tons of variations possibilities with these, so have fun experimenting!. I would categorize these as beginner level. These also give you some options for changing up styles of ring shanks on rings featuring heads. These sell well at shows and festivals. The materials for these can vary, but for these ones, I used 14 gauge round or square sterling wire, and 18 gauge sterling round wire. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and My-T-Flux from Rio Grande.

The close caption said, “Music” when you were humming. I’d take that as a compliment. You explain the process in a way that inspires me to go and do it. Thank you!

Thanks Tammie! It can be done without pick soldering, but you spend a lot more time balancing tiny bits of solder at like 40 spots:). Take care Tammie!
