So when Indian Students sign their application to come for education to Canada, they clearly acknowledge that they are not seeking PR so why the issue now. Government is correct in making rules to protect their country and people. Even India doesn’t give PR so easily to anyone. So why expect the same from another country

This should hopefully help them understand that getting PR is still possible and that requires a change in strategy by pivoting to a job in industries like healthcare/ trades etc rather than protesting to get a PR. But they change immigration rules very often. We don't know what will happen in the future. They might change again. Also, apart from ontario, there are a lot of other provinces that requires low CRS score which would be an easy PR pathway. Like Alberta, nova Scotia, winnipeg etc.

Bro very rightly said, you explained the concept very well. Canada 5-10 years pehle aisa tha jab logo ko certain field ya locations me PR mil jati this but now govt ko pata lag chuka hai that yaha unki society me koi contribute nai krega, sbko PR se mtlb hai, also kaafi log dusre province me jate the just only and only to get PR but govt ko apne labor shortage affected areas me log chaiye so that they can increase more work force and industries but govt ko pata lag chuka hai that students ko sirf PR se mtlb hai and they leave the provinces after that. They are right on their end, sirf Agents shor machate hain India me that Canada is giving PR considering the early year scenarios but now game has changed. Moreover, its a supply and demand game, jaha jobs ho for ex 500 and job seekers ho 1000+ toh job shortage is more obvious.

Canada has, for decades, been in the top 10 of safest and least racist countries on planet Earth. Plus prosperous. Now there is a new negative spin that most Canadians do NOT deserve to a high degree. People must look at both sides.
Since 2020, international students have been flocking to a educational system that many Canadians now feel was used by many of them as a loophole-to-immigration. Students utilizing schooling as a back-door (not front-door) ticket to living in Canada. Swarming a 50+ year tradition/system that was not not NOT designed to be about every international student INSISTING on receiving Permanent Residency. Plus it was not designed to be primarily about students demanding lengthy work permits (& spouse permits etc.). Canadians have clued in that Canada's post secondary education system has (in 5 years time) turned into what many are now jokingly calling EDUGRATION. An extreme not approved by everyday Canadians.
What about Ghost Consulting that Canada told India to halt? Canadians want $ greedy foreign agents to stop marketing & lying to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … in places like Canada being relatively easy. At best, there is a 20% chance of PR (better odds if career is in HIGH demand).
And what about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian-born citizens.
Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Mills that Canada is shutting down. AND the bulk of them are near Brampton Ontario and Surrey B.C.. Coincidence? Canada is now compelling ALL schools to report to Immigration whether a student is attending school and complying with permit requirements or not. Were Canadian public colleges & universities greedy too (while honest)? Sure. But the Canadian government stepped in and slowed them down too (like a trustworthy government should).
Are most international students truly scholars who came to Canada with enough $ to support themselves while STUDYING? Or economic migrants, who borrowed $ to buy their way closer to the head of the immigration line? To say all the students or their consultants have not been at times 'gaming' Canada's education programs to gain western PR or $ is ridiculous. Students have contributed to Canada's severe housing crisis and lack of entry jobs because 90% conspire-to-outstay a TEMPORARY permit.
Canada wants to help people, but not when it contributes to severe home unaffordability and a recession. If 36,000,000 Canadians travelled to India, since 2020, with the goal of being able to stay there permanently, that would raise India's population by 2.65%. Recent asylum seekers crossing into Canada… and international students... have raised Canada's population higher than 2.65%. More needing healthcare too (affecting waiting times etc.).
What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? Fraud? False asylum claims? What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by/for internationals? Home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Indian nationals buying local businesses then putting Indians only in key positions (while also drastically changing work practices that include working more hours for less money). Plus BC & Ontario are outlawing the Caste System.
Then throw in the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada. Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) … even though it all stems from their ancestral home. How can peace be found anywhere with this in play? Plus the Canadian government recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent. Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border.
In recent years, Canadians are having to worry about their automobile being stolen by auto theft rings. For just one example of what Canadians see regarding this new concern research; "arrests in connection with $9.24M Toronto-area auto theft ring". Research; "Gold stolen in Canada's biggest ever heist ended up in India". On YT look up "TorontoPolice News Conference Project Déjà Vu". Major scams involving foreign call centres too.
Canadians are so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now worried/fearful. All are praying it doesn't turn into anger. Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this).
Canadians are aware that some wonderful students/humans are going through hell. And know Canada is partially to blame which is awful. But Canada decides what needs to be done in Canada to prevent further pains. Do you see Canadians protesting in other countries (that is not their own) making demands for themselves? No. Do Canadians now see primarily Indians protesting in Canada making demands? Yes. Protesting because they don't have the credentials to stay in Canada. And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires/demands. And why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students protesting & waving their flags? They're in Canada too.
Did international students and their families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No.
Did Canada force internationals to move to Canada as a STUDENT when their primary goal is work/PR? No.
Did Canada promise/guarantee a job? And PR? No & no.
Yet do they only blame Canada when they can't get work/PR??? After they came to Canada as a STUDENT?
Look up Human Rights Index 2023. Canada is ranked 13th. USA is 17th. India 109th.

Secondly,if the country is so dedicated in inviting only those who enrich the Canadian society, then stop issuing visas to people not from STEM backgrounds, and spread the word to the bogus colleges too to not issue fake offer letters for programs that they cannot actually provide to student,so the chances of such students coming to country will be too less, for instance,I come from a musical background, and i got visa for music business administration from Trebas,Montreal where they didnt provide me the said program and had me change the program once i reached the college(so it is evident that Canadian colleges have a tendency of issuing fake offer letters to the students).
Third, the person is bound to expect a field job after spending 1-2 years of hardwork in the academics of their course,so in any case, the country is not doing any charity to the person(understand the real meaning of charity before using it) and also if someone is spending their lifelong savings to get to a place, the person is evident to expect certain returns,so yeah this is a fact,Canadian govt fakes promises and hopes to the immigrants and then shows a bare-palm,so stop trying to cover up the hypocrisy of the country which is very evident!
