- On this episode of Murphys Diesel Wrecker Rick and Mrs. Wrecker Rick embark on a road trip to Tennessee to see her family for a few weeks. 800 Miles away from home they find themselves broke down on the side of the road with the welding rig and their 47' Toy hauler thanks to ol De Niro.
Without the parts needed available and on national back order there is only one thing they could do. Follow along to see how this story turns out.

You have a very respectable wife and children to be stranded and did what you did to make things happen. You’re the best dad ever.
This is a crappy situation but remember that if that happens to you and you are in a position to just purchase $100,000 dollar truck and have it delivered to the side of the road within an hour or two, you are still very very blessed. I know you've worked your tail off to be in that position but still. For about %90 of people that would have been a vacation ender, and a very tough situation to recover from with the cost of the tow and repairs. That's a beauty of a new truck!! Good luck with the rest of the vacation!
Yeah it couldn't have been the driving at 95mph pulling a 5th wheel in 100 degree weather.
That's gonna be a hell of a story for the sales guy. "yeah dude I swear yesterday on your day off I had to go pickup a guy because he broke down on vacation pulling a gooseneck camper, He bought a new truck on the spot and had us deliver it to him just so he could keep on rolling"
Why I do my own oil changes and minor maintenance. Only after taking my brand new Powerstroke in for it's first oil change, only to find 4 hours later a pool of oil under the truck. Grabbed the oil filter and was hanging on by it's last threads. I don't have the luxury of having new trucks delivered to me so it's doing my own maintenance for me.
Dang Wrecker Rick what a way to start a vacation!!! But in true MURPHYs Diesel fashion you didn’t skip a beat of getting back on the road!!!!
That was a $120,000 breakdown and you didn't skip a beat!
Could you imagine get a wrecker run and pull up and see W.R standing there!
They’re hospitable at that dealership because they haven’t smelled the scent of an actual customer in a fiscal year, they probably thought you were a mirage shimmering in the distance.
