I'm so excited to see you guys have ventured down the Sleep Token rabbit hole. Every song on the new album is like one epic adventure for your mind and ears a like. Vessel (lead vocalist) has this way of creating a world of imagery within his words and vocals. Trust me, this band are on another level.
Sleep Token: The definition of "a different kind of heavy."
Their new album Take Me Back To Eden is a true masterpiece. With each album they stepped up the game but I still love to go back to their older stuff as well. Really, the best experience is to listen to the album from start to finish, it's a ride you should not miss! Chokehold, The Summoning, Ascensionism and the title track Take Me Back To Eden are definitely must listens. Just like all other songs but I think these songs stand out the most. Let's check the album out together! Worship.

Massive Sleep Token fan here and I love seeing people get in to them, it’s such a joy to watch.
I can only advise that you go back to the very beginning of the EPs and listen from start to finish if you haven’t already. Euclid was my number 1 song of the year and it means so much to me in levels I won’t go in to here, but yeah, it’s an experience.

If you want to see their heavy stuff, then i would recommend Vore, The Summoning, Ascensionism from the new album and from the past albuns it would be Hypnosis, The Offering and Gods.
And when you listen to Euclid (from the new album), please listen to "The Night Does Not Belong To God" first, please!

When I first heard a Sleep Token song, I wasn't expected them to sound like that but it made me love them even.
The song from their latest album that I recommend to check out first is *Are You Really Ok? 🖤🤘
Favourite for me is the title tack Take Me Back To Eden, but Ascensionism is close second! The whole album is incredible though, so whichever one is chosen will be good, but these 2 in particular are journeys. I’d have probably also added in The Summoning, but I’ve heard it so much since it was released in January, compared to these 2 only released in May, but it was the one that blew up the Internet.

Great reaction and video as usual! Vore is my favorite and definitely the heaviest from the album. But I recommend either Rain, Take Me Back to Eden, or Granite more.
A different band I think you’d enjoy for how interesting they are is Ne Obliviscaris, almost polar opposites yet similar to Sleep Token in their variety.
Vore, ironically, also has some of the prettiest vocals of their discography imo.

I've been listening to them for about 6 months now. Mostly the new album and certain older songs, but they're really good. I just saw an article that had an interesting hypothesis as to why they're so popular right now. Their music follows worship music patterns, like in churches and whatnot, and that's why their music is so palatable and catchy. Also, their diehard fans are called worshipers. 😂

to be honest there is a reason why sleep token only recently blew up...the lastest album ranks supreme over their previous material
Take Me Back to Eden is a great record, but Sundowning is my favorite.
I disagree. I love the new album, but I think after a while with it, I like it the least out of all of their projects.
I think two is their best by far, and jaws is their best song.
I agree to a point. TMBTE is a perfect album to pull people in. It got me in to them. But as you slowly get pulled down deeper in to their discography you find stuff that is just so uniquely sleep token and extremely enjoyable. Im not saying TMBTE is a commercial album, but its their most commercially accessible album. Its their most mainstream album if you will. But gawdam does it have some absolute BANGERS. And even songs like DYWTYLM are so deep and meaningful to the band and to those who resonate with the lyrics, despite it not even being rock.
If you want the best song to really lead you into the style of the new album go with Granite. Other people I am 100% sure are putting “the summoning” as it was the song that was the most popular single and dropped all the panties with the ending or Take Me Back to Eden as it is the title track. Don’t do that. In full honesty I think you should listen to the whole album in order starting with Chokehold and ending with Euclid. Its a genuine experience that has a flow to it you really should just let happen. But if I had to recommend a single song to bring in new people off the new album I’d say listen to Granite. Granite isn’t even my favorite song Chokehold is but I want you to get a full grasp of Sleep Token’s style and range without just feeding into the trend off of songs like the summoning (not that the summoning isn’t an absolute BANGER too)
That’s a good idea… We will start with Chokehold that way if we do a full album react, we’ve still started at the beginning.
I wouldn't necessarily consider Sleep Token "metal". I'd say they're an Atmospheric Rock band, with some metal elements in some of their songs.
Sleep Token are the best thing to come out of the UK even with a Tory government we still seem to fight against the oppression!

I am late but honestly I don't consider Sleep Token a metal band. And no I don't mean that in an insulting way. I think it would be an insult to them to call them a single genre. I simply refer to Sleep Token as a band. They change genres enough that I won't label them with one. Also remember this is a band with just TWO members on the albums. Don't listen to the newbs. Start with the Sundowning album and work through all 3 albums in order as they are a trilogy. The last track on Eden will make you elated and ugly cry with all the call backs. Then there is the lore to dive into. Every track is a surprise as to what genre but when the breakdowns come they are worth it.
