Thanks for this Matt, great job! People who want to know how to adjust their guitars need to see/hear this stuff. When I was a noob, the “internet heroes” came into comments and forums replying to my questions “dude, just trust your ears and your fingers, you’ll feel it…” biggest load of crap ever. Guitar adjustments are made within such tight ranges in the thousandths of an inch. If you know what those measurements are relative to what you like, and you HOW to do a setup, your experience with your instruments will be that much better. Every guitarist should learn setups - time and money well spent.
When you say that you like your neck dead flat, does that mean that you back bow the neck with the strings off, so that when you re-string the string tension pulls the neck flat?
Thanks Matt, I am enjoying this series and always have some takeaways. One aspect you didn’t talk about is setting pickup heights. Do you have standard height measurements for various pickups or do you listen to how it sounds and adjust to your taste?
I want to thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience with us. Because of you, Dylan and a few other youtubers, I now setup and modify my own guitars. Have a blessed day.
Matt
I laughed 😅 when you said you could go get a cheeseburger with 2 bucks!!😂
Dude, have you bought a cheeseburger lately!!?
Lol!!!😂
I certainly couldn't get a good one
Oh shit that’s mine!!!!!
Congrats. That’s a great looking guitar.
Thank you I was blown away I had no idea it was close to being down.
You better believe it BABY!

I did kinda let that one slide. I guess I like to match those for volume more than anything else. I should do another video on that topic
